Hey! So, about 2 days ago or so i finished my eddsworld animation… Yeah, the one to conmemorate Edd’s passing. So… Here goes. If you’re interested in reading the letter i left for Eddsworld, feel free to read below i guess ___ After three days of hard work, I finished this animation. I made it as a way to show my appreciation towards Eddsworld, and as a conmemoration to Edd Gould’s passing. 3 days from today it will have been 14 years since Edd passed from Leukemia. I wanted to make something for him, a little gift to show his talent didn’t go unseen. But also for most part- a big thank you to Matt and his current team for sticking around this long. I am beyond thankful to have come across Eddsworld, and it shatters my heart to see fans calling out to Matt in negative ways. Animation is expensive, this 40 something second long clip took me three whole days! And most of these scenes weren’t even of my own composition. For most part, I redrew scenes from my favorite Eddsworld episodes, adding little details and animating them myself. It took a lot of effort, and to be fair I couldn’t imagine creating a whole episode without taking a long while. The dedication being put into keeping the fandom together with cool merch, and these very recent Saturday morning marathons, counts more than a simple episode. I’ve always enjoyed drawing, and my biggest dream since I’m a kid has been to do animated episodes. The Simpsons has taken major fault for my passion to take counterpart in working with them someday, and now Eddsworld has joined. I’m a huge fanatic of treehouse of horror, and when I saw Zombeh attack for the first time I knew I’d take huge interest in Eddsworld for its unique and creepy nature, along with Edd’s humor. I’m happy to see how well Eddsworld is still doing today, and I can’t wait to see more. I’m just a 14 year old drawing stuff I like, nothing much of a big deal; but thank you Eddsworld for introducing these characters into my life. And if Matt is somehow getting to read this, thank you for remaining strong for Edd and his family. Eddsworld wouldn’t be what it is today without your support. - Scythe
