My lore for this AU look is that Zolphius was *somehow* turned naughtified by Sir Daddado before the fight with Jumbo Josh. During the fight however, he was severely damaged and had to be fixed by Syringeon and a few of the Givanium guys (like the nurse who thought the hammer were scissors) but since it was a Givanium guy working on him, it was dumb and used the wrong material.
