okay chat guess who wanted drawing practice (but didn’t want to make a thumbnail) 1: skeletos finished!! notes vv 2: no special effects ew what’s up with the shading uhh 3: glow only whaaaa 4: failed version 2 that looks okayish?? nahhh 5: aqua finished :] more notes vv 6: rip i was trying to figure out how to draw aqua’s hair since i tend to overdo the hair and the hair wasn’t hairing 7: progress update 1. the coloring looks nice 8: no effects/ coloring + solid background only 9: lazy thumbnail so!! i’m going to do my best to draw all the characters in EVERY 5AD CHAPTER THUMBNAIL UNTIL THE SERIES ENDS!! i’m going to regret saying that later but that’s future makki’s problem ha off topic rambling but… i went to a bookstore yesterday and got a new manga haul www i was going to get blue lock volume 21 because kurona is my goat but there’s no way ma would let me get it because of certain language being used rip i’m broke anyway :skull: someone tell kodansha to stop making the new chapters pay to read uhhh oh wait yeah yes i am adding aqua later today or tomorrow, skeletos is just a mackerel ton easier to draw so i did his art first artistic review :sparkles: overall it’s not bad, i’m happy with the lighting CAUSE LEMME TELL YA I SUCK AT LIGHTING played around with the blending layers quite a bit that was fun :] backgrounds? what’s that? the only part i don’t like is somehow also the lighting? by the way there’s a skull in that somewhere, rip i suck at drawing clothing folds haha DONT PAY ATTENTION TO THAT (or the weird ahh purple hoodie shading) i cooked on the hair but scratch kinda killed the details :v artistic review part two okay i lowkey cooked on this one?? free cookie if you know what the flower symbolizes, i kinda just didn’t like the other eye i had the colors are desaturated but not too much, and the clothing isn’t horrible this time, aqua might just have an easier character design i had so much fun with the background, i was just going crazy with brushes and stuff and i loved the scribble brush effect. added some like raspberry outline thing?? it’s actually dark red but the effects changed the color only thing i don’t like is the spider lily’s color got screwed up by the effects but it looks weird if i fix it hhh details ( skeletos ) 86/100 layers : 6 (lot more than usual) program : autodesk sketchbook time taken : who knows? not me! no like seriously i don’t know details ( aqua ) 96/100 layers: 7 (so many effects lol) program: autodesk sketchbook time taken: still no idea. about an hour/ hour and a half maybe? music i was listening to: senbonzakura (ado cover) cicada (good kid) makki's stupidity corner okay like i realized aqua was based on nagi so man i'm either stupid or stupid like i noticed he's suspiciously similar early on but didn't realize he was literally based on him until like a week later also have i mentioned how impressed i am with people who can actually get their brain to lock in enough to be able to create comics?? like i can have an entire story in my head but i can't write it down or storyboard or anything. i can draw the characters but not the story. i have the puzzle pieces but i can't put them together. kinda weird, huh? the spider lily in japanese culture represents the afterlife. look it up if you want more info
