The plush worm was a mighty beast, faster than a dragon and probably stronger than one, too. Coated in a fur thick as it is soft, it is a completely domesticated animal, and is often sheared for the aforementioned fur. It is also bred to be a pack animal, with its sturdy legs and long, almost humanoid arms. Really, it had no reason to be called a worm, and Eraus still had no idea why it was, but he had a theory that it was probably the long, noodley snout. His worm arrived, one he had had since he was a mere child, her name was Agigra, Elvish for profound grace. Her fur was dull grey at first glance, but in the moonlight she shone like a thousand shards of striil were woven into her body. After a few seconds, her powerful footsteps could be heard. She skidded to a halt and knelt down to let him climb on. He gave her a few pets before packing up camp. He was lonely, so he talked with Agigra to work out his thoughts. “So, Agi, I met a cute boy today.” She trilled in response. “Don’t give me that tone. I know I can’t take a partner until I inherit the throne, and before you ask, yes, we did actually talk.” Agi let out a deep rumble. “Okay, okay, it was not technically a conversation, and I kind of killed his best friend, and he and his sister kind of tried to kill me, that’s what all the blood is, but his name is Sol, and he’s really pretty, and tall, and-” Agi snorted. “Okay, I get it. Let’s just go because I’m actually going to pass out. You know where the infirmary is, and I trust you to take me there.” Eraus sighed as he clambered onto her back after he had loaded the remnants of camp onto her. He clutched her neck and embraced darkness as her lightning fast footsteps rocked him to unconsciousness.
