Hello. This is Esperanza. Today, unlike many others, will be solely devoted to the purpose of something a bit more fun. There are /countless/ much lesser-known but talented individuals out there in the S-pop community if you decide to take a stroll 'round the S-pop Town to look. I will be creating a /fictive/ S-pop group lineup, with a lookalike ideally for NewJeans, so that /you/ all do not need to. And yes, NewJeans OT5 forever. Let's get started. First, let's get the full lineup before I explain why they are individually suited for a NewJeans group. 1. Suki (@suki_ki) 2. Qwi (@qwiell) 3. Izzy (@OfficiallyIzzy) 4. Mina (@_Minaverse_) 5. Avs (@xxAvs_iix) But now, why did I choose them? Well, first of all, I had a few more choices, but they were on hiatus or leaving, so those were quickly ruled out. But second of all, they have good qualities that can solidly cover different parts of the NewJeans songs. (And yes, I did extensive research and listened to a ton of songs from NewJeans and other groups to confirm this.) First, we have Suki. --- She has this calming but slightly gritty vocal tone that suits NewJeans and the group. NewJeans's songs and general vibe. --- Her ability to do vocal fry is important, in songs, such as "OMG". --- Rap has potential, especially due to her good sense of rhythm, as far as I can see. Second, we have Qwi. --- Her vocal tone is a bit brighter than the others, which can bring some flavor and contrast. --- Qwi's vocal control is amazing, the ability to do vocal runs can be very useful in most of NewJeans's songs, as they have a lot of bounce to them. --- Rap. The rap is great and very well paced and enunciated. I may not be the best person to analyze rap, but I /know/ it's good. Third, we have Izzy. --- She has a very clear vocal tone with smooth execution. --- Her comfortable higher register is stable and controlled. --- She's Korean, making NewJeans's and other K-pop songs easier for her to pronounce. --- Her rap is good and she can pull her weight for it when necessary. Fourth, we have Mina. --- She has that bouncy and sweet vocal tone that perfectly fits NewJeans, shown in her recent cover of New Jeans. --- Her vocal control from lower to higher notes is great, and she has good control for her lower notes too despite having a great head voice. --- Mina's head voice pitch accuracy and clarity is one of her strengths. Fifth, we have Avs. --- Her head voice is pure but her lower register is also rich. --- She is able to do harmonies, demonstrated in her mini cover of What Was I Made For. --- Avs has consistent pitch, which is important for consistency during mixing. --- Although rap could be a bit more enunciated, has good pacing and has that right vibe. So, what do you think? Are there other people who also have the same potential and abilities and are also just as underrated? Would you ever try recruiting any of them? If you have any alternative lineup ideas, please share them with me, I'd love to read them and discuss. Should I make more projects like this in the future? Do you have suggestions?
