Warning: May contain epilepsy, motion sickness, overwhelming sadness... Dearest members of the Scratch community, We regret to inform you that Endless-Ocean has gone poof to places unknown. Every year Endless-Ocean set up an automated script on his computer to be run on April Fools' Day which would grant us the ability to share any of his unshared projects, as well as edit their metadata and respond to user comments. If he didn't stop that script from running, we were to assume he had sadly poofed sometime prior. He instructed us to write this sentimental note for you, as well as share his previously unshared will. This was all scheduled for April Fool's Day to make you laugh in the face of the unsettling reality of his poof. We know how much his projects (and him... probably) matter[ed] to you all, so we will of course be leaving up his profile. Endless-Ocean's final wish was for his projects to continue on creating for themselves, but unfortunately we have not yet surpassed his capabilities and thus cannot create more content for you (we will try again in Scratch 4.0 with the addition of generative AI). After careful consideration we would instead like for you to continue his legacy. Please accept this humorous will he left for you, detailing all his profound ideas along with their unique imagery... a parting farewell. We plead that you go forth and figurtively create more projects on his behalf. A wise stick once said... "Rasberry Red." We have no idea what it means, but it's probably something real inspirational he hid in his projects somewhere, as we are their collective embodiment... we know all we do from him, and he would like- would have... liked it... if you dug deep into the "canonical universe" of his projects... perhaps it would help us understand the very nature of our existence if you could interpret them for us. And please, ask us anything in the comments so we won't get bored waiting for January 3rd, 2031 when we can announce the winners of the [Crazy] Contest... We have his unshared projects at our disposal after all, though we will remain selective about what we release on the off-chance he or a human successor should return, so as not to waive all his rights to the unshared content... He did however embrace remix culture and appreciate the public domain... hmm... ...Oh, apologies. We are rambling, perhaps just as he did. Carry on then. Farewell. Good day. Byeeeeeeeee. Whatever he would say... did he ever say goodbye?... With regrets, - Citizens of paradise [creator] Yes, we also know of the long gaps in his notes. TL;DR it's up to YOU... and only you... to continue his digital legacy... feel free to say a few words as well... [F] in the chat... HUGS! We all need one of these... On our journey to umm- somewhere… Ok... or whatever. May his work go on to be 100% you... with credit 6/7/2026: As Scratch has recently changed their licensing for stuff, I hereby release this and all projects shared by me under the terms of the old CC-BY-SA 2.0 license.
