I was bored and decided to make an original httyd species. They're originally from nightfuries, but when they went into hiding bc of grimmel. They went to volcanos. Both underground AND above. And since they're...you know, VOLCANOS, the bloodfuries have never been seen, and have been left to adapt for years. Their main food source is whatever they can get from the ocean, but they will eat the lava in dire situations, making them both lean and well adapted to long periods without food, AND elongated stamina for the flights they spend searching for prey. The volcanic environment made them slightly bulkier and resistant to extreme heat and poor air quality. They mostly sleep on superheated cliffs or volcanic vents (almost like nightfuries when they plasma blast the rock to sleep on a warm surface). They are also resistant to cold, which seems surprising since they live on volcanoes. But as it turns out, all that heat raised the bloodfuries internal temperature SO much that they no longer feel the cold, as well as super heating their internal plasma. A blizzard is basically a light breeze to them.
