Building a great level starts with a solid grasp of your structural tools and the environment. You control a red square that must navigate a variety of blocks, ranging from standard squares to half blocks and mini blocks that require extreme precision to land on. By using the 1-9 keys to swap between objects and delete mode to remove any mistake you may have made, you can quickly sketch out a path that leads to the end goal. Customizing your grid color is a subtle but effective way to change the vibe of your stage, ensuring that your platforms stand out clearly against the background as you build. The real magic happens when you introduce physics-altering objects like blue pads, red pads, and gravity portals. Blue pads act as springs, launching the player high into the air to reach distant ledges, while red pads and gravity portals flip the world upside down, forcing the player to navigate the ceiling. These mechanics, when combined with hazards like death balls or mini spikes, create a high-stakes environment where the player must constantly adapt their movement. Testing these sections is easy: you can use the arrow keys in the editor to move your starting point right next to a difficult jump, then hit Play to see if your gravity-flipping layout is actually fun to play. Maintaining a smooth "flow" is essential for keeping players engaged rather than frustrated. Since players can move with A/D, jump with W, and even crouch with S, you should design obstacles that utilize all three dimensions, such as low tunnels that require a sliding crouch. If a player fails a tricky maneuver, the R key allows for an instant restart, keeping the momentum going without long wait times. Whether you are playing on a computer or switching to mobile mode, the ultimate goal is to create a fair but challenging experience that rewards practice and proves you can build the best platformer in the community.
Inspiration from the geometry dash editor and other one of my first test games from my other game called classic-scratchformer. Ever wanted to build your own platformer but hate coding complex collision systems? This project handles all the physics, allowing you to design levels. Welcome to the ultimate sandbox! This project is powered entirely by Pen rendering, meaning every block you place is drawn in real-time for maximum performance and zero sprite lag. I wanted to create a building experience that feels fluid and tactile, so I hand-designed every block asset and translated them into this custom engine. To get started, just click a block from your tray and start stamping your masterpiece onto the canvas. A massive thank you to the Scratch community for the inspiration to dive into Pen-based engines. If you made something cool, let me know in the comments, and don't forget to love and favorite if you want to see more block types added! ⚠WARNING⚠ Do not remix without adding extra Items or features. Also all remixes help this game get more updates so if you remix this there is a chance your remix will be used in this game. I encourage you to remix this project for new features to be added. You can advertise but be careful with what you put and no spamming. This isn't my choice, it's scratch's. Tell me bugs and I'll patch them. Version: 2.69
