-READ HERE- Minecraft Apple TV Edition was a REAL THING. Yes, Minecraft running off a TV box. No gaming console, no PC, nothing. Just Minecraft on a slow under-powered TV box. Let's talk about it. Minecraft for the Apple TV was announced at a WWDC in 2016. It was then announced and released by Mojang on December 19, 2016. Here's the real kicker: You couldn't play it with your TV remote. You have to buy a "MFi" controller, or use a Xbox/PS controller. Honestly, NO ONE played this version of Minecraft. A "MFi" controller is a "Made for iOS" controller. These included controllers like the SteelSeries Nimbus, and in some Apple stores, they had a SteelSeries Nimbus + Minecraft Apple TV Edition bundle, but these were very limited stock. This version is the rarest version of Bedrock itself because you can't buy it anymore (since 2018) and it barley got updates. If anyone has this version, PLEASE tell me about it. It is so rare and weird. It is almost IMPOSSIBLE to download this version without a Mac & Xcode. (Also, if you want, Bearman3600 made a very detailed video about the Apple TV) Tags: #Game #Games #Minecraft
