first, when started place a redstone dust piece touching the lever, then in any path, connect it to the redstone lamp and you will see the redstone moving in the path you made and when it gets to the end, it will toggle the lamp (if you place a redstone piece in a diagonal position to connect to the lamp or start the chain, it will not work)
