Let's Study Hard is the second iteration of Scratch Study Camp, orignally founded by Skylar (@Milkysplash) and Hope (@euphoriafall) and inspired by SWC and created with the aim of helping people study hard for their exams. It is a competitive three-week session with daily activities and weekly activities that can be completed for points for your team, while also focusing on self-care. There is no minimum time commitment, just add minutes and do activities as and when you have the time to! Let's Study Hard currently has no fixed dates as for when the next session is, but they will generally aim to align with the major exams seasons, particularly in the May/June sessions. ⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆「 ⌬ 」⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆ How does Let's Study Hard work? Let's Study Hard operates similarly to Artfight, in that everyone is split up into teams named after the session's theme, and throughout the session, everyone will be able to earn points for their team. Let's Study Hard also operates similarly to a Scratch Camp, with daily activities and weekly activities found in the Main Hub (main cabin) that can earn points for your team, and all participants set themselves a minute goal of how many minutes they want to spend studying over the course of the session. Teams are randomly assigned and minute goals are evened out as much as possible between the teams, but you can make a request to be on the same team as a friend! Minutes are added in each team studio, and added up by the session hosts. This session, our teams will be Team Alkali Metals, Team Alkaline Earth Metals, Team Noble Gases, Team Halogens, and Team Transition Metals, based on the element categories in the periodic table. If you have any further questions about this, please feel free to ask - we don't bite! ⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆「 ⌬ 」⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆ Minute Goals Everyone will set themselves a minute goal of how long they want to spend studying over the course of the session. We reccomend a minute goal of between 1,200 and 1,900 for those who don't need to do intense amounts of studying, which amounts to an hour to an hour and a half per day. For those who need to spend more time studying, we would suggest a minute goal of 2,500 to 3,800 minutes as this amounts to two to three hours of studying a day. The absolute cap is 7,500 minutes, which amounts to about 6 hours of studying per day for 3 weeks straight, which is considered unhealthy. After reaching 7,500 minutes, you will be unable to add any more minutes. ⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆「 ⌬ 」⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆ What does and doesn't count for minutes? What does count: - General revision/review - Revision lessons (that aren't guided by a teacher) - Consolidation homework - Doing practice questions - Doing past exam papers - Studying with friends - Reading textbooks - Teaching yourself course material - Flashcards As a general rule of thumb, it should be self-guided study of course material/lesson material. What doesn't count: - Lessons - Tutoring ⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆「 ⌬ 」⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆ Do I have to share proof? No, we do not require you to share proof. Let's Study Hard runs on an honour system and so we expect you to be honest about completion of activities and telling us how much you've studied. ⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆「 ☀ 」⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆ To sign up for the session, please answer the following questions: 1. Username of the account you'll be participating on 2. Do you have any periods of significant inactivity over the session dates? 3. What's your minute goal? (see above for further information) 4. Are you comfortable having your comments screenshotted or quoted for the memory book? Answer "Always", "Ask First", or "Never". 5. Is there anything else you'd like to add? ⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆「 ⌬ 」⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆ Credits Let's Study Hard is hosted by Skylar (), Hope (), Surf (), Yume (), and Em () Inspired by SWC and Artfight!
