In this game you control the white pieces (so you make the opening move). To make your move, remix this project and position the piece you're moving where you want it (using X and Y, in the code after the "when flag clicked"). If a piece is taken, set its "Taken" variable to 1. Title your remix "Move [number of moves in game]: CHECK {only if it puts me in Check} [column a-h][row 1-8] (VS @SolarLynx256)" IF AN ILLEGAL MOVE IS MADE: You must comment on the project making the illegal move and state why said move is illegal (example: "You can't move the rook on a4 to g4 because that does not get your king on c2 out of Check from my bishop on d3.") In case you need a refresher with the rules of chess: ✧When a piece lands on the same space of an opponent's piece, that opponent's piece is captured and removed from the game. ✧PAWNS (the little guys on the front lines) can only move one space forward (if it hasn't been moved during the game yet, you can choose to move that pawn two spaces forward instead of one), and can only capture diagonally forward (they can't capture straight forward). When a pawn reaches the row (or rank) farthest from it, it is promoted to a rook, knight, bishop, or queen (never another pawn or a king). ✧ROOKS (the towers in the corners) can only move straight forward, backward, left, or right, but can move an infinite number of spaces (they can't turn around mid-move and automatically stop when they capture a piece). ✧KNIGHTS (the horses) move two spaces in one straight direction, turn 90 degrees, then move one space that other direction. This shape is resemblant of an "L". Knights are the only chess piece that can move through another piece, but they still cannot land on your own. ✧BISHOPS (the frowny faces next to the knights) can only move diagonally, but can move an infinite number of spaces (they can't turn around mid-move and automatically stop when they capture a piece). ✧QUEENS (the tower thingy with a crown to the right of the board's center) function like rooks and bishops: they can move straight and diagonally, an infinite number of spaces (the same restrictions, however, apply; they can't turn around mid-move and automatically stop when they capture a piece). ✧KINGS (the cross thingy to the left of the board's center) function like queens, but they can only move one space per turn. If a king is put in danger by another piece, it is called "Check", and that king MUST be made safe again. If there is no way to escape Check, then it is "Checkmate", and the player that performed the Checkmate is the winner. If the king cannot move without putting itself in check and no other pieces are movable, then it is a Stalemate, which is a tie (neither player wins nor loses). For clarification, is an alternate account of , so you're playing against him in reality when playing against . Music Used: ✦Pawn e4 (/) When using my music, you MUST credit as the composer of the specific piece(s) of music, respectively, you are trying to use. THIS ALSO APPLIES TO REMIXES.
