At the very least, please read misc / trivia as it contains design notes ^^ ] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - "There's nothing that you can blackmail me with or do down here to make me fight for you anymore." - BASICS - Name : Kestrelhound (previously Kestrelkit / Kestrelpaw / Kestrelhail) Gender + Pronouns : Male (He/Him) Species : Cat Orientation : Omnisexual/romantic Rank (AD) : Head of the Summit (Summit's Pack) - PERSONALITY - A cat known for his public execution of not only the then-Head but also of a former Council Member, few even think of crossing his path. I mean, why *would* you? His origins are as mysterious as his mannerisms, having joined Summit’s Pack out of nowhere at just 9-ish moons old, going on to rise the ranks all the way to Head status within less than a year. Regardless of all the theories spoken in hushed whispers, the reality surrounding his origins are far darker than what most would think. Originally a ShadowClan apprentice, Kestrelpaw was nothing more than a pawn after being ripped away from his home, enduring moons and moons of manipulation and mistreatment at the paws of Sprucehound. That is, of course, until he decided to betray and take her out on his own accord after deciding himself as ‘too far gone’ to go back to his home clan. Since then, he’s simply become jaded, hiding behind a standoffish persona as a means to repress everything he had gone through during that troubled apprenticehood. Even when that mask slips though, that lack of enthusiasm seldom wavers, and instead simply renders him.. quiet. He doesn’t talk about his past, and still wears a flat tone and expression, rarely holding actual conversation unless emotions are high. Nevertheless, he has been able to find some semblance of comfort in a life lacking healing. In time, he had become close to Quartzhound, a jesting rivalry turned friendship, the two eventually becoming partners after some years of knowing one another. At the end of the day though, this bit of solace in his life also turned sour the moment Quartzhound broke up with him. The worst part? It was nobody’s fault but his own. After all, Kestrelhound was still the one continuing his murders even after the cat who had forced him to had long-since passed. Nowadays, he desperately seeks that same companionship, that same familiarity the sole cat he allowed himself to be genuine around gave him. And well, he found that, even if in the depths of the hellscape that is the Below. The part he wasn’t counting on, however, was that the cat he’d find this familiarity in was the same one who was the arguable reason for his demise at the end of arc 6. Still fluffy, just not as long - In his possessed form / while in the living world during arc 10, he has a scar across most of his neck as seen in the second image! Eyes also glow in the dark - While he DOES have an afterlife form, iii am refraining from putting it here because unfortunately it is gorey in nature and I don't want that version drawn incorrectly even if for the sake of scratch - REALLY not good with public speaking despite being the Head. He tends to speak in shorter sentences and isn't really expressive, so like all of his speeches were probably written by Quartzhound - Fun fact I was actually able to sneak in a theme song reference in his description / summary!
