My opinion on Rachel: I think she has a lot of potential as a character that just isn't explored in the books. She is more or less introduced as another love interest of Percy and her Oracle abilities aren't talked abt enough. As much as I love her and her iconic hair brush, the series wouldn't be TOO DIFFERENT if she was never introduced. My opinion on Caleo: Another example of wasted potential imo. I don't get the point of making Leo the seventh wheel if he was gonna get a love interest anyway. There was so much u could've done with him here. Making him queer could've given a more better character arc. Or helping him realize that he's fine without a love interest would've been better for his arc. Giving him a love interest ruins the foundation for a great character arc. Upon that, I just think Calypso isn't very nice to him.
