Background: () ========================================= Cinder was an average housecat, with a silky white pelt and orange eyes. Desperate to escape the crushing weight of his life, he wanders into the wild with a heart following the story's told by his littermate, Speckle, of wild forest cats, and cherished the story of one with the pelt of fire destined to lead them. With hope Cinder travels farther only to find lush undergrowth and tall pines, but he soon found a love for it all of the nature and its freedom. As he travels his heart is full again. But he soon starts to go crazy as more and more dangers plunge after him. His mind goes corrupt, the world seems to spin around him with every waking moment, and he never sleeps, traveling this forest realm alone (represented by the "corrupted" section top right) -He finds many beast creatures in the forest he wanders, the soil soaking his fur deep brown, these wild creatures ripping and clawing, unable to escape from them because of weariness and not thinking straight. he begins to cry blood. (Represented by the section "blood" middle) -Escaping the forest, he finds a meadow where he can heal, the grass is pale yellow and soft pink, yellow, blue and green flowers welcome him, but as Cinder's mind settles and returns to his normal self, he starts to go crazy once more remembering that this was his choice, to travel, leaving his happy life behind him. (represented by the "floral" section bottom right) -He flees, he runs, runs, runs... Cinder has run so far, he doesn't recognize his surroundings, but is not startled by this, for this has been his life for the past day... or has it been longer? Tired he sits. The blood from his tears has dried and crusted to the fur on his face. Annoyed, he licks a paw to clean. A sharp tang fills his mouth and he withdraws his paw. glancing down in terror, he finds a lime green substance smeared on his paw. With a hiss of surprise, he jumps up to find the eerie green goo starting to surround him, drawing him in slowly, until it fills his whole world and he starts to choke on it, closing his eyes in a desprate plee. (represented by the "toxic" section top left.) The mush is unbearable and Cinders lungs scream for air. Letting out his last breath, he opens his eyes and sees bright colors of purple, pink, yellow, and blue staining his vision, until he could no longer bear to look at it. His mind goes blank. (represented by the "paint" section, far middle right) -It feels as if a lifetime has passed when Cinder finally dares to open his eyes. A snowy plain stares ahead of him, howling winds and a blinding sheet of swirling snow engulfs him, yet Cinder feels warm and fuzzy, and. "Dead...? am I dead!" he chokes out horrified, standing. (represented by the "festive" section). "No, my dear," an unfamiliar voice whisper. The voice seems to come from no direction and instead rides the raging winds around Cinder himself. Cinder opens his mouth to declare who spoke the words but can muscle out no sound. "Silence," the voice murmurs sweetly. "It is a gift, not a burden." Cinders eyes widen in curiosity as a pale orange flickers ahead of him in the shape of a cat. Cinder blinks and the figure now seem to loom over him. Startled, he jumps back landing on the ground and snow clouds around him. The figure giggles. "Jumpy, are we?" The cat's pelt is sleek with orange fur with lighter, brown, and gray like patterns. It has white eyes that when stared into, are more blinding than the snow around Cinder. Cinder looks away. {where am I?} he ponders to himself. "Safe," the orange patterned cat sighs. Cinders head jerks up in surprise. {Hello?} he trys to say out loud, but the voice remains inside his head and not aloud, yet the cat seems to hear. "Hello." The cat mews gently. "Let me explain." Cinder sits up and his head lulls forward expectingly. "You see, you have endured journeys no other cats should have fought. You been mauled," a sudden pain jerks Cinder causing his to cry out, but only in his mind. "Tricked-" images of the yellow field swirl in Cinder's mind, making him woozy. "Drowned-" Cinder's lungs grow heavy and a smothering weight weighs him down as the field dies away and blinding vivid colors surround him. "But now," the Cat concludes, and Cinder is freed from the despairing collage of memories and visions, he gasps for air and falls chin first to the ground. "You shall spend the remainder of you, how should i put this, after-life.... here...with us." the cats orange tail lifts his head up off the ground so he can stare into the swelling light of the cat's eyes. {No-!} Cinder tries to flee, but his limbs are frozen. The vision of thousands of cat's deaths fills his brain, terror takes over. "I know it's not fair for you," the cat murmurs. "To die so tragically, then spend your after-life damned, a ghost unloved." And Cinder smiles unable to stop, feeling as if he's melting, his mind goes blank.
