click for my inspo board thingy + fullscreen to read the drawings text better idea dump down below -> ➡ first of all, when I thought caves, I thought stalagmites. like all over. i'd assume the cats though it'd be a perfect place for gatherings but weren't able to reach all of it due to the rough surfaces of the cave grounds, which is why they dragged in moss to cover the floors. ➡ part of the cave has an opening and when it is a full moon, just enough light is able to pass through when the moon right on top, allowing for light in the cavern. the place isn't able to be visited when it is not a fully moon since there would be no light in the cave (kind of like how moonstone is treated throughout the first books) ➡ when the moon is shining on the stalagmites, it looks like they are glowing since stalagmites are glossy and shiny ➡ there are three rocks for each clan, though originally there was just one for mossclan and one for flurryclan. urchinclan's rock had to be dragged over and is barely held together, making it a bit dangerous to stand on. ➡ the cave is wet/damp- stalagmite caves tend to be full of water because they form this way, though this area doesn't have that much. cats usually come home from the gathering with wet paws and pelts. ➡ the cave is a limestone cave. (the stalagmites are limestone stalagmites and are formed from long deposition of calcium carbonate and other minerals. ➡ an underground river flows through the cave system and has to be crossed to reach the gathering place. ➡ just a thought, but it could be a part of the same cave system that the star's mouth is connected to or they are near each other. or the entrance to the gathering place leads towards it i'm not sure :,] yeah that's it !
