hey :D! i haven't made an album ranking/rating in a while since my hiatus. well, here i am (:D)! i am pretty late to the REVIVE+ party, but i had to make this anyway cause' it's IVE. also, see how it says (easy ver.)? yeah, all my rankings will be typed here instead of in the project (also the reason the thumbnail is so low effort). i would've loved to come back with something high effort and awesome, but school has drained me and i don't have the energy to do all that coding (especially considering this is a FULL album). now, to the album itself. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! tbh, it's lowk a no-skip album, all the songs are relatively really great. i'm still contemplating on whether it's topping I'VE IVE or not. let me tell you how i'll really rank this album. i'll rank the regular tracks and solo tracks separately because doing the WHOLE album is too much work TT. alright let's begin with the regular tracks :D. 5. HOT COFFEE i must say, this is a lovely track. i really like the vibe and meaning, y'know, self-growth and confidence. tbh, it's only here cause' i prefer the other tracks. 4. Stuck In Your Head nice and poppy, though i do find the chorus a little repetitive. otherwise, very cute track :) 3. Hush/Fireworks once i knew one of the tracks was gonna be named "hush", i knew i'd really like it. i love the hide-and-seek vibe of the song and the "hush" adds a lot lol :)). for fireworks, i really liked it from the highlight medley. i absolutely LOVE the first part of the chorus and the meaning is really sweet <33 2. BLACKHOLE can't lie, my expectations for BLACKHOLE were pretty high since i ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ I AM (my current favorite song from IVE) and since this was their next full album title track. but, to not lie, it is really great. it's growing on me listen by listen. and i really like this one part in the verse, it's in korean TT (간직해 왔던, 불꽃을 일으켜). 1. BANG BANG at first listen, i thought it was pretty off. but obviously it grew on me A LOT. i love the instrumental/beat in the background and i love how HYPE it is, it's so awesome! time for solo tracks :DDD 5. In Your Heart it's really cute and i think it matches rei perfectly, but i'm not sure if it's a song i'd listen to. it's still great tho and it could grow on me, don't get me wrong 4. Super ICY i think it's really nice, i like how the song flows. could lowk grow on me more and go up the rank, but it's here for now :) 3. 8 when i listened to it on the highlight medley, i thought i wouldn't like it too much. but, i actually can vibe with it it's really great. respect for wonyoung for writing the whole song. also, idk why but i think it's so cute how she said at the end "i left no crumbs". maybe it's her accent. she's not lying though, she really ATE(she always does) 2. Odd i had a feeling i'd really like this song cause' i can finally appreciate gaeul's vocals. this song is a real treat, i love the like calm, soothing tone, different from what we usually see from her. and y'know, she's not too popular, so i'm really happy she gets to shine in this track <333 1. Unreal/Force Unreal is so adorable <33. liz's vocals are so pleasing to listen to, and she wrote this song by herself?! yeah, that's somethin' to applaud. now for Force, STRAIGHT AWESOME. i knew i'd love it cause' it's yujin (my bias ♡) and the snippet from the highlight medley. also the only solo song in the album that's at least 3 minutes ;). but, i do have some critique. I LOVE THIS SONG yes, but am i the only one who wished the chorus was stronger, more hype? like the song started strong and kept getting better, i was so excited for the chorus drop. and it came, and it was nice, but like, it could've been MORE y'know. the last chorus did help out tho. nonetheless, AWESOME track. whoo, that was A LOT of YAP. but yeah, that's my ranking of the REVIVE+ album (for now). tell me your opinions/suggestions in the comments :). see you my next project (may be easy or regular idk). see y'all <3
