Nickelodeon Films Limited (no relation with the Nickelodeon TV channel) was founded in 1947 as the non-theatrical film division of Lexicon Film Productions (later Flower Pictures), it got its name from the type of five-cent cinemas that operated in the USA during the silent film era. In 1983, the division was renamed Flower Sixteen, to symbolise its purpose of manufacturing 16mm films intended for schools and homes. Flower Sixteen was folded into Flower Home Video in 2000, before that got renamed to Pontiac Home Entertainment in 2003.
