The words echoed in his mind, disrupting his chain of thought. "Uno, what have I told you about calling me Maden?" Except, Uno was still in monthly data sort, and besides, that voice was- [T -4 minutes] <The Nothing That Stands At The Edge Of Tomorrow> Kirla woke up, something was wrong. Worse, something was wrong with The Heart. Had Jake done something? Had she done something? No, something was deeply wrong, or maybe something was stirring? Kirla strode in long steps, the walls of the house she had meticulously constructed unraveling back into the void as she passed through. In front of her was The Heart, impossible to make out without the proper eyes, eyes made of the nothing The Heart was. It was most definitely stirring, or maybe something inside was, something deep, something ancient, the Voidfather. [T -3 minutes] <Erdel Shayin> "Sir, the station is picking up some, odd, energy signals." one of Erdel 's aides said as she approached. "What do you mean, odd?" Erdel asked, continuing to eat his sandwich. "This energy we're picking up, well, it's similar to the energy given off by portals, but far more, intense." the aide replied. "Then send an away team. I will of course be requiring live camera feed." "Of course" [T -2 minutes] <AI designation 1, model "Uno"> [DATA SORT COMPLETE, BEGGINING BOOT SEQUENCE.] <Erdel Shayin> The away team was approaching the source of the energy, though it could still spot nothing but the customary darkness and many colored dots of Zerospace. Then it spotted something, ruins. Erdel had finally found evidence of the archil. [T -1 minutes] <AI designation 1, model "Uno"> [BOOT SEQUENCE COMPLETE, COMMENCING REALIZATION PROTOCOL] Uno woke up, not really, but she came out of monthly stasis, and saying she woke up made her feel more, real. Uno began performing basic diagnostics, drills whirring, machine arms buzzing, and cameras turning on. And there was Seeker, in front of a portal, but the portal was, wrong. No energy sigs. And it looked off, it was a deep black instead of violet. "Seeker, that portal doesn't look safe, it doesn't have any energy sigs." Seeker glances back. "I know." "Then why are you going through it, Seeker! It's not safe." "I know." "I don't think you do!" "I do. You can't stop me, Uno, I need to do this." "NO YOU DON'T!" Seeker shook his head slightly, "I knew you wouldn't understand, just do me a favor, Uno, presume me dead, I don't think I will be, but I don't know if I'll make it back. You know the will, broadcast it." "MADEN! YOU CAN'T JUST LEAVE!" Seeker shook his head, and stepped through the portal. [T -0 minutes] <The Nothing That Stands At The Edge Of Tomorrow> The Voidfather woke. The Heart roiled, but it didn't break, The Voidfather pushed, and tried to burst it, but it stayed in one piece, at least for a moment, then, thousands of smaller pieces went flying, The Heart was still intact enough to contain The Voidfather, but The Voidfather could now exert itself upon the void, if not fully. And The Voidfather was angry. <Erdel Shayin> The ruins exploded, in a burst of energy the away team was dead, the ship was destroyed, and the station, which was miles away, shook. The shockwave didn't reach much farther, but the wave of energy could be felt in even the farthest corners of the farthest dimensions. <Ǘ̴̧̏ņ̵̞̈̊i̴̾̊͜d̷̡̟͝ḛ̵̟́n̷̩̆̔ť̵̠̾i̶̬͚͂f̷̨͇̂i̶̬͙͌e̴̱͐ͅd̷̡̊͘> Paranoia stood up, something was wrong, he was going to die, reality was stronger today! Paranoia ran, but, no. Reality wasn't after him today, it, wasn't after him. <Gate> Gate stirred, he was, something. He worked with truth and light, but what was he? Where was he? There was some kind of shrine nearby, maybe if he went over to it? It did feel like light. <AI designation 1, model "Uno"> The facility split, and it, teleported, hundreds of pieces of a repurposed starship crashing down into a frozen Estatian beach. [BEGINING STASIS PROTOCOL-] No, Uno stopped the protocol in it's tracks. She would survive, with or without Seeker.
