Sunny has /never/ actually had a proper parental figure, and had only recently become an (I would say mature, but he's not) adult. He's one of the worst cats he knows at everything warriorhood related, but Sundog's natural charisma and rather quick-witted mind mostly makes up for that! He's a performer - that is to say, he is dramatic. Sunny is good at explaining - even if he's bad at doing. All this means that Sunny is a very interesting parent. He'll be there, yes, and try to support this kits through their lives, but he knows that he cannot control what they believe and feel, and will hardly try in that matter. (bro tried to agrue with Sorastar abt the 'star' suffix and also never did anything useful on patrols except stare at trees, he gets it.) He won't encourage his kits to think anything about the Dark Forest or StarClan (even though he does think StarClan is better) and will teach both places to them as 'where cats go when they d13.' Is he qualified to raise children? No. Does he trust UrchinClan (as a clan) enough to let another cat look after these kits? Also no. Sundog also cares a lot about other cats, especially ones he's had good first impressions of. He doesn't discourage hate-at-first-sight relationships with other cats, but he will try to encourage his kits to try to look below surface level understanding. Sunny is also /not/ fighting his kids' battles. He's too bad at being a ranger/warrior for that. Yes, he's a bit pathetic. No, he doesn't care. However! He will not let anyone consider his kits 'failures' in any regard (due to him knowing what it's like to be worse at everything than everyone around you). Sunny's a pretty good actor and can be rlly scary at times lol um he's just pretending 90% of the time. (kinda short but like idk what else to say)
