Life is all about mindset. The way you view things changes everything, and what you surround yourself with REALLY affects it. You could think that, oh, if I do this one thing, not much will change. But, trust me, everything you do matters. Surround yourself with the wrong people, watch.. negative things, purchase harmful products, etc.. and that will impact your life. The way you think matters a lot too. Examples; Say something you really wanted just sold out or someone else took it before you. You could think, "How dare they!? I really wanted that! I should’ve had it!" Or you could think, "Maybe that was a good thing. Someone else might've needed it more, or better things will come to me. Now, which one makes your life more peaceful, easier? Of course, the second one. Thinking positively might be mocked or viewed strange to others, but it will help you a lot in the long run. Being optimistic is, obviously, better than being pessimistic. Another thing I’d like to add is regret. Personally, I don’t like regretting things. Mistakes happen for a reason. To learn, to struggle, to get where you need or want to be. Plus.. it already happened. All you can do is look ahead. Regretting something is carrying unnecessary weight in your heart, and nothing can really fix it except for not doing it again. Life isn’t black and white, and one mistake doesn’t make you a bad or negative person. This is also why I hate cancel culture, but I’ll talk about that in a different project. The point is, rather than thinking negatively, try to see the good. What makes this thing positive? I’ll give another example. Let’s say you just had a huge fight with a friend, and that made you two ex-friends. You could regret it, think you should've done something differently or not let them go. Or you could think that maybe it was a good thing. Maybe they weren’t the one for you, and that’s okay. You’re not going to get along with everyone, that’s just life. It might seem gloomy, but I don’t think so. Anyway, I hope that sums up mindset. To have a more positive attitude, just try to think more about why something bad could benefit you. I’m not saying that it’s easy, it’s obviously harder said than done. However, just one step, just one thought, can be your opportunity to the right path. Sincerely, rae.
