I fell backwards onto a hard, marble floor. Luckily, my gown broke my fall. I looked across from me at a boy who seemed to be the same age as me. He had perfectly kempt brown hair, pale skin similar to mine and gorgeous hazel eyes. He was dressed in a dark blue royal-looking coat and pants of the same shade. Almost like a bell-hop, but magical and prince-like. He looked up at me and his whole face changed. “Madelyn! I’m so sorry! You deserve better my darling!” the boy said, rushing to pick me up off the ground. I shakily got up, “Don’t worry, it’s okay” “It’s not okay! You’re my darling fiance! I shouldn’t be making stupid mistakes like this!” So this is the boy I’m supposed to marry tomorrow I think. “It’s okay, it was my fault too.” I reply calmly. “Don’t ever say that Madelyn! You're my darling angel! A gift sent down from the heavens! You could never make any mistakes darling!” “O-okay…” Suddenly, Arthur moved toward me and grabbed me by the waist, pulling me way closer than I expected. “Darling, is there any way I could make it up to you?” Our faces were extremely close, and I blushed bright red, “I-I, we-w-well, I-I don’t, w-, I-I don’t really know.” He let go of his grasp on me, “That’s okay darling! But trust me, I’ll make it up to you soon.” He then leaned forward, and kissed my hand, making a jolt go through my body. What. The heck. Just happened. I think as he ran down the hall. “Arthur has always been such a gentleman, you’re so lucky you’re getting married to him.” Alfonzo said, clutching his scroll, “Now, we must get you down to your other meetings. Down to the kitchen for your wedding cake testing!” He grabbed me by the arm and yanked me forward. But as he pulled me down the hall, I couldn’t help but look back, to see if I could still see Arthur.
