I'm back at this song remixing again, even though I made this remix over a year ago. Anyway, this, like in my past Undertale song remixes, depicts what they sound like if they were in an arcade machine. For Rude Buster, I originally made a mixture of several arcades, but the one mainly presented is in the style of CPS-1. Overview about the sound style: The CPS-1 machine consisted of the YM2151 and OKI MSM2965 sound modules. The YM2151 is the Genesis sounding one and is one of the most common types for arcade machines back then, while the MSM6295 provides the actual sound effects for the machine, including percussions (which are samples). Most YM sound modules are incapable of storing sampled sounds, but some like the YM2608 and YM2610 can do that. Meanwhile, the System 2 uses the YM2151 and the custom C140 PCM chip, which was slightly more advanced than the other sample chips at the time. Track list: - Rude Buster (CPS-1 style) - Lancer (Slightly unfinished, older composition, generic) - Pandora Palace (Revisited from last project, mainly System 2 like) - The World Revolving (System 2 style) - Big Shot (Somewhat unfinished, older composition, generic) - Ant Tenna (Not exactly polished, YM, C140 & C352 hybrid)
(Some earlier tracks styles are included) Once again, I felt desperate that these needed to exist since I've never heard of an arcade remix since aside from YM2151 a bit. Plus I've heard too many Sonic 3 remixes especially with the dance one (which I don't know where it originates). If you're interested in some song remixes, do you think anyone remixed a soundtrack using YM2610 modules? (Example: Zelda - Link to the Past Taito / NeoGeo Remix) Credits: Toby Fox (DeltaRune) Capcom (CPS-1 sound module) Namco (System 2 sound module) etc. (& composition programs)
