Chapter 1:Snowclan's Heart As morning arose,Glacierstar,slowly stretching up,padded out of his den.Anxiety clawed at his mind as memories of the battle flooded through his mind.Hopping gingerly on to The Great Glacier, he let out a yowl. "All cats able to slide across the ice, gather around for a clan meeting!" Warmth for all his cats warmed him:Honeytail,his beloved mate and deputy,Springleap and Wolftail,his mother and father, and all the rest of his warriors and apprentices supported him in every pawstep.Gazing at the rizing sun,he let out a purr of joy.As cats began to mill around the glacier, he glanced around to see Starfrost shooing her two kits in front of her.Both kits pelt was groomed.Seeing that every other cats had turned their attention to him he let out a yowl. "Thank you for gathering here today,"he began,"and this is a good day for all of us." pleased murmers echoed from the cats. "We will mourn the cats who died yesterday,"Glacierstar hesitated as cats broke into sad,sorrowful murmering,"but today we will make two new apprentices!" Feeling relieved that the cats had changed their mood ,he let out a purr of amusement to see Duskkit jump into a muddy puddle.
