Not only do they add depth, but they pace the story so it's not boring because of one pace. Q7: When it comes to writing, are you a perfectionist? A:I think it does exist to some extent, but not as a "disease" as some people make it seem. Q16: What about reader's block? A:?????? Q17: Do you like putting references in your stories? (references to other books, a movie, songs, etc) A:well, since I've mostly written fanfictions... yes, but in my new original story I've referenced a couple things.
