this time around i foucued more on people than on random objects. you can find all the refrences i used in the project #1 nothing of note here, i think the character came out alright, though there are still somethings weird about the values and colors, esp on his ear. and the background is pretty bad #2 yeah this sucks lol #3 i really liked how this came out. the pants are probably my favorite part here, i like how all the colors came together. the hair as well is really nice for how few colors i used #4 this is rika from higurashi. i tried to draw her going off of a frame from the anime, but.. yeah this sucks. the colors are so dull and lifeless... values work for the most part tho #5 a bird. i love how this came out, esp the texture on the talons #6 i love how this one came out as well, i like the "crunchy" feel it has to it. i also gave him two little eyes on his face plate thing #7 this is rika from higurashi again, i wanted to draw her again since the last attempt was atrocious, i really love how this came out. i think a big part of why the other one came out so bad was that i didnt have a reference for the lighting, so i was really just guessing on the colors. for this one, although i didnt have a reference for this exact pose and light direction, i did have a reference for how this type of light would react to skin, so that helped me quite a bit with the skin tone and shadow colors. for the dress and hair i had to wing it tho actually, i think the values for all of these work really well, in black and white theyre all readable.. except the apple i guess
