All the ghosts and monsters just frighten me. Beanie agrees. Daisy, on the other hand, adores it. “Marvellous!” she had once said. “The only time where blood and murder is perfectly normal!” At that, Uncle Felix had given her a steely glare and she stopped at once. It was a dull, grey Tuesday morning when the letter arrived. Me and Daisy were in Uncle Felix’s house. Daisy had been sulking because we were not allowed out of the house. Bridget collected the letters and began passing them out. Uncle Felix had his usual coded letter, while Aunt Lucy had an invitation. I had a letter from Alexander. Daisy looked disapprovingly at me. She doesn’t like me writing letters to Alexander, but I do it anyway.
I drew this cover myself. This is a murder most unladylike fan fiction. Only the murder most unladylike sign is not drawn by me. Credit to Robin Stevens. The author.
