!Not April fools! Click The Lazarus program is a joint program between Nordan defense contractors to modernize old, defunct tanks for use by the home guard, because of this, they are able to be produced cheaply and effectively. the two offspring of this program is the M60 "Mjolner" mod, and the Strv 103 "Specter" mod. The M60 "mjolner" The Mjolner is an export M60 tank. most were imported from The USV in the 1960-70s when Norden used them as their Main battle tank. Now this tank is fitted with a new diesel-electric engine, as well as modern armor and optics. This tank exels in close-quarters combat and is armed with a smoothbore 120mm gun, which uses the same rounds as the Specter and the STRV 122. It also has an automatic 40mm grenade launcher loaded with programmable rounds for dealing with light vehicles and saturating bunkers and fortifications. As well as an automatic 15mm HMG which has the ability to load and fire shotgun-like rounds in order to shred drones and infantry. M60 specs 4 crew - ~55 tons fully loaded - 900 hp diesel electric engine which is quieter than the original, and has better torque and reliability - 45-50 km/h on road, 35-40 Km/h off road composite applique armor - modular ERA/NERA blocks - cage armor around turret - soft‑kill APS (smoke, IR masking, dazzlers) - optional light hard‑kill interceptors 120mm low‑recoil smoothbore - HE‑AB programmable rounds - HEAT - APFSDS (reduced recoil variant) - thermobaric support rounds Top‑Mounted 15mm Gun - anti‑drone - anti‑infantry - anti‑light vehicle - high rate of fire - remote weapon station 40mm Automatic Grenade Launcher - saturates trenches - clears rooftops - suppresses infantry - perfect for urban defense - thermal + low‑light - laser rangefinder - digital fire control - basic battlefield networking - drone uplink - infantry support - defensive anchor - urban combat - ambushes in known terrain - Home Guard armored fist $4–6 million per upgraded tank (Free hulls make this extremely cost‑effective.) The STRV 103 Specter The Strv 103 Specter is a modernization of the Strv 103 featuring a new diesel-electric hybrid engine, modern optic and armor. As for armament the specter has a 120mm gun optimized for long range engagements, as well as the 15mm of the Mjolner and an anti tank launcher which swivels and uses the same 12mm rounds as the main gun for close range encounters. STRV 103 Specter -3 crew ~45 tons -Hybrid diesel‑electric - extremely quiet - excellent torque - perfect for stealth repositioning Speed: 55–60 km/h on road 40 km/h off‑road Armor: - low‑profile hull - composite applique - ERA/NERA on front arc - soft‑kill APS - thermal masking shrouds - IR‑reducing exhaust Main Gun: 120mm high‑velocity smoothbore - optimized for long‑range accuracy - guided rounds (fictional but plausible) - APFSDS - HE‑AB - bunker‑buster rounds Secondary Weapons: Recoilless Rifle (Top‑Mounted) - uses the same 120mm ammunition family - low recoil - fixed forward arc - emergency close‑quarters weapon - perfect for when the hull gun cannot depress/elevate fast enough 15mm Extended‑Range Gun - anti‑drone - anti‑infantry - anti‑light vehicle - extended barrel for better accuracy - can fire airburst rounds Sensors: - long‑range thermal - laser designator - sniper‑grade fire control - passive detection suite - drone uplink for spotting Role: - long‑range tank destroyer - ambush sniper - defensive overwatch - anti‑armor denial - deception asset (low thermal signature) $3–5 million per upgraded tank (Again, free hulls make this incredibly cheap.) Both of these tanks are in use by the Home guard, which trains with them, as well as uses them for parades.
the tanks are heavily inspired by @coderccl This is not April fools. trust me. I just wanted to get it out there and it just so happens to be April 1st. I really like the MJOLNER X it reminds me of the armada. Tbh the strv103 is kinda bad, I could have done way better.
