Whenever I'm making a project that focuses in some way around the music, I almost always start by finding and visualizing the beat of a song. I want to know all of the driving rhythms within the music and I want to know where and when they happen. I do this because it helps me better understand the song and also shows me where I might insert artwork or various effects so that it lines up where I want within the project. Nearly all of my animations start with this process (I've included a link in the notes of an example of how this helps me)! So I thought it would be fun to create a project focused on exactly this. And here we are! A small, slightly buggy, looping visualization of the various beats/melodies within a piano recording. It's a representation of what I see in my head when listening to this recording :) Please do remix! How might you visualize the beats of this song differently? I also left a comment in the backdrop code to show you how I found the various beats for this project, in case you'd like to try it with your own song! Be sure to check out the Behind the Beats studio which inspired me to make this project and join in on the fun! https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/51515124 *boop* =^..^=
