His gaze traveled down to the notifications that flooded unrelentlessly down his screen, all spamming the exact same message. [ERROR] [ERROR] [ERROR] He grumbled. He should've updated the security protocols weeks ago, but he had been putting it off due to..recent developments. His firewalls were completely impenetrable, nonetheless, and he was confident in their ability to fend off viruses. [...LOADING] [ENTER LOCKDOWN KEY] [SUBMIT: Bootyyshaker9000] His fingers drummed on his lap slightly in anxious stimming, despite the reassurance that was washing over him in waves. Classic Donnie overthink. Give it a few seconds, and the program would run its definite course. [...] [...] [ACCESS DENIED] He stilled in the special-scientist's chair, his brain trying and failing to process the unfortunate data he had received. Almost simultaneously, he leaped forward and nearly bashed his head into the computer. "Breathe, Tello," he murmured in hushed tones, resting his palms so they were sprawled out against his chest. He didn't need another autistic shutdown on his hands, so he proceeded to leap into action. His fingers danced in familiar motions against the keyboard, entering the password over a dozen times. Aa the programming continued to resist the function, his teeth grinded together in stress. [ACCESS DENIED] "Hydrogen. Helium. Lithium. Beryllium." he chanted, trying to get his heartbeat to slow. To steady himself, he bumped his toes repeatedly against the desk. "Carbon. Nitrogen." As he descended further down the periodic table, his methodology became more frantic and uncertain. He installed deletion websites, hacked into the digital shield, and even asked--okay, demanded--nicely. Nothing worked. [ACCESS DENIED] He rolled his chair to the side, a manic chuckle escaping his throat. His pupils dilated in concentration as he finally purged the system, and he released a sigh of relief. [ADMIN RECOGNIZED] [REBOOTING..] [ ⚠️ FAILURE ⚠️] Or..not. He puffed his cheeks outward in poorly-suppressed anger. Unconsciously, a bulging vein snaked its way across his neck. Donnie resisted the urge to scream as an enormous wall of text projected itself on the visor. Mentally screenshotting it for his photographic recollections, he watched helplessly at it erased quick as the wind. "..." All was silent. It felt almost suffocating.
