The "Example", "TickHandler", and "BG" sprites are not meant to be copied. Think of this like GameMaker's "Input" Extension. How to Use BlendInput: Step 1: Setup Go inside the BlendInput Sprite. Below the flag, you should see a custom block named "Setup". Add any Bind you want, and give them a unique name using the "Create Keybind" custom block. (If you don't give them a unique name then they won't be added...) Step 2: Reading Inputs Due to the limitations of Scratch, we can't have custom booleans like Snap does. So you'll have to manually read the values from the list. All you have to do is read the item number of the list corresponding to the order you mapped your binds in. Step 3: Rebinding Support BlendInput makes rebinding keys easy, although its not a default function. This project uses the ask block method, although there are other methods you can use to make input rebinding more user-friendly. For the example, I have the remapping system in a separate sprite, with a broadcast to remap the input. I won't explain it, but you can look inside and figure out how it works.
This isn't an April Fools project, I don't have anything planned for today. I was just working on a project and when I was optimizing a script to use a for loop instead of a large stack of ifs I noticed this would be perfect for a backpackable input script. 2.0.0 Roadmap Mouse Input Fixing binds with similar names to other binds being ignored Proper icon good morning mr sunfish (peak) you'll be gone (peak) fallacy (peak) so long (peakest of peak) if i were to die (peak) linger in the rain (peakest of peak) dandelion (stinky and slow and sad ew...) i forgot that you exist (peak) you made me fall in love (peak) another mistake (peakest of peak) paper alibis fish!
