a little dark story I had fun with enjoy!!!' there was a prolouge here but it was a little to dark for the website... hehe This isn’t a dark book. If I told you that I would be lying. This isn’t a dark book. Trust me. Chapter 1: forbidden. Sora was looking up at the stars, they were beautiful. She charted the constellations.9 Alaric couldn’t stand looking at the sky for hours. The long grass folded around her as she stared at the moon. Pointing up and naming it all. Alaric just fell asleep. Atlas paid attention; his favorite constellation was Andromeda. He said it reminded him of a queen. Alaric sat up and grunted “we're going to get out of this one day.” he had woken from his nap “I like it here. The world is quiet.” Sora replied. Atlas scoffed, “Too quiet.” Sora closed her eyes, “Maybe it's best they left us.” she whispered “We were smart enough not to go, all those people died.” Silence. “We don’t know for sure if they did or not.” Alaric said. “It was government control, I don’t know why you don’t get that Alaric.” Atlas snapped. “Come on, let's go.” Sora said, bringing herself to her feet “They're just going to come back for us and kill us like the rest of them.” Atlas says. “No that’s not true..” Alaric snapped back “You're delusional!” Atlas yelled, “Knock it off!” Sora yelled back. Atlas shook his head and grumbled something. Alaric walked ahead with Sora and wrapped his arm around her leaving Atlas behind them. “You’re so rude to each other.” she said. “You don’t understand.” Alaric responded, “What do you mean?” she said looking up unable to meet his eyes “I mean you just don't understand.” Alaric stated, “What do I not understand?” She insisted, “You don’t understand a lot of things, my love.” She pushed his arm off her shoulder. He shook his head, “You’re mad because you don’t understand?” he scowled, “No. I'm irritated because you won’t answer me.” Alaric didn’t respond, “Like that!” Sora yelled. “Go ahead Atlas.” Alaric said, stopping Sora. “Why are you acting like this? You're being a nuisance. The only thing I don’t understand right now is you.” Alaric grabbed her face and pressed his lips against hers, it tasted like nothing. She pushed him away, “W-Why’d you do that?” Sora stammered “Because you wouldn’t shut up!” Alaric fumed, massaging his temple. Sora opened her mouth to say something but he stopped her. “Just. Please.” Sora shook her head, “Why are you hiding everything from me and Atlas?” Alaric stopped, a mixture of pain and sorrow was on his face. “I don’t.” He embraced Sora, she put her face in his chest and she began to weep. Alaric was right that she didn’t understand. Alaric pressed his lips against her ear, “I always knew you were going to fall in my arms.” He squeezed her tighter, his voice cracked. “What?” the poor girl breathed. All she could do was stare into his bright hazel eyes. A thin sheer of water lined his eyes, “What do you mean?” she asked again. He intertwined his fingers in her tousled hair, he shushed her. He pulled her back, looking around. He held her by the wrist leading her toward the forest. Dread filled her. He held onto her wrist loosely knowing she wouldn’t run away. Silent tears washed over his face. He kept his head held up high. His silver ring glistened in the sun, as it slowly disappeared into the ground.
Snow began to fall, it was dark, and the stars were nowhere to be seen. He stopped. They were deep in the large woods. He gripped her wrist. He looked at her. He had no expression. His long auburn hair covered his eyes. She pulled away from him. He didn’t lose his grip. He reached into his jacket. Her gold dagger. He held onto it so loose it looked as if it was about to fall out of his hand. He pushed her against a tree. She gripped the bark. It happened in a flash. It was slow and painful. Her eyes were open as she breathed her last breath. He stood over her, tears rolling down his red cheeks. They weren’t the only thing that was red. Scarlet red blotched the sad attempt of her death bed. The blood melted the snow around her. It was a thin layer of it. He dropped the dagger. He left, with her pain. He left, with her ring. And he left. He left with her heart. It didn’t beat anymore. He left with an organ he had carved out of her body. For what? For proof he killed her. I already told you this was a dark book, why did you stay? Because you trusted a lie. Or because you wanted a thrill? Either way, you came this far. Didn’t you? His hand shook as he turned his back on her. The dead heart dripped blood from his fingertips. He never thought he would have literally had her heart. The thing that bothered him most was that ear splitting scream of help she left him. It resounded in his head. Over, and over, and over in his ears. He was a psycho. He really went as far as to carve out his significant other’s heart to be like everyone else. Footsteps. He twisted his head around. “Atlas?” he yelled out. “Daisy, daisy.. Give me your answer do..” it was her sweet melodic voice, the song only they knew. His jaw shook. “Don’t mess with me Atlas.” he yelled out, voice cracking. “Why do you question my reality dear?” her voice shook. Cold, soft hands brushed against his wrist. He dropped her heart. He turned. Sora wasn’t there. “You dropped my heart, dear.” She whispered in his ear he looked in front. A dirty white dress, draped over her shoulders. It was obviously too big for her. His silver ring brushed against her finger. Her heart was in her hand. The lace was being stained by blood that slowly seeped from her chest. It made a flower that engraved the dress. “You dropped it. My dear.” he stepped back. She followed. Lipstick smeared her mouth. “You're killing me Alaric. Don’t run.” He stepped back. A long train came out from behind her. “You said you would marry me.” She stepped closer. “Don’t kill me. Just say, I do." She pulled her glove up. “Sora, how-” He cupped her face. “Too late for that now.” A silver dagger hung from her left hand. “Feel the pain I felt in my love.” This is where I stop. It’s extremely graphic. Fast forward. Sora laid there fingers intertwined in his. Her dress was sprawled out across the ground. Alaric’s blood stained it. Her long brown hair was damp from the snow. He wheezed throat open, blood sprayed out. “I’ll see you in purgatory.” She whispered, closing her eyes. Her skin turned a soft blue and the dress slowly decayed turning into ash. She was left naked, snow sticking onto her dead body. Alaric turned. He couldn’t breathe any longer. He pressed a soft kiss on her cheek as he exhaled the last sweet air he would breathe in his short life. Why did he still love her after he had done that to her? And how did she still love him? THATS ALL, it was a little rushed, and I had planned for it to be a full book, but this was a rough draft, I love horror books, and this was one on my favorite things to write!!!
