I know I promised a comic, but I discovered that I prefer writing methods compared to comics, so ye. Warning-There will be themes of bl00d, v!0l3nc3, and d34th throughout the course of this tale, as this is based off Warriors. If you are sensitive to any of these elements, I would advise that you don't read ahead. This is a story of three cats: Ana is a farm-born queen in a colony of mousers. After the fire that threatened her and her family's lives, Ana decides to join a newcoming family of peaceful loners on their travels. Not regretting a thing, she becomes part of their small family and walks the long trail home with them. Unfortunately, Ana soon discovers life beyond the farm isn’t as easy as she had expected, with loss and famine and pain among the path to a new home, but she must persevere. Cross, a loner-born queen cat, has just discovered she’s been lied to all her life. Her parents aren’t who they say, friends turn against her, and she runs away with her brothers, seeking refuge on a farm. She meets new friends and forms fresh bonds with new cats, and travels with them all the way to a new place the Cross has only heard of. But the challenge has only just started when they arrive to a grief and panic-stricken Clan. The newly forged family must find a way to restore peace to the place they wish to call home. Kotapaw—a forest-born ThunderClan apprentice-queen, has just started to train under her leader when she witnesses his murder by an unexpected criminal. When no other Clan offers help, all hope seems lost for Kotapaw’s Clan, until a family of long-lost Clanmates returns home moons after their ascendants left. Kotapaw becomes close to them and asks for their assistance to help mend the broken Clan of Thunder. She and her new-found friends must work hard to fix what is broken, while hunting for a murderer and his mate. Will the three succeed in their goals? Or will they become an example of a departed story of three, either way, never forgotten?
I ask that there is no remixing unless it's a reaction, and please, no hate if you aren't a fan of my series. 1-Ana Ana woke to a small beam of sunlight streaming through the window, right in her eyes. She blinked and shied away from the brightness, instead, picking her way through the sleeping bodies of her family and friends. Ana lived in a colony of farm cats. A huge colony. Sometimes it was hard to keep track of everyone, for cats would go missing and no one would notice, but otherwise, it was very carefree and easy. Ana’s family was very...set on leaving the past in the past. As she moved out of the thick of the mound of cats, there were only a few sleeping on boxes or hay bales. Ana saw her mother caring for Ana’s newborn half-siblings. Ever since Ana’s father had died, Mother had become cold and strict. When she had taken a new mate, Basil, it had gotten even worse. She barely spoke to her first kits, and when she did, it was always because she wanted something, or because she wanted them to do something. Ana always tried to ignore her, though. Since it was only sunrise, Ana hopped onto the ledge by the window. She loved this ledge; it overlooked the whole farm! She settled down and closed her eyes. Breathe. She told herself. In, out. In, out. In, out. Ana always did breathing exercises every morning. It calmed her down when she was stressed or bored or anything negative. Sometimes she liked to just look out the window into the forest and moors beyond. Sure, her life in the fields was easy and simple, but it was kind of boring. Nothing interesting ever happened on the farm. Sure, Ana had friends, yes, family, but nothing...exciting. She longed for the forest. Sometimes, the fresh scent of the pines and wildlife would drift towards the barn, as if the forest was calling her to go to it. And she always wanted to go, but she thought, *Mother will worry* and came back to a mother who didn’t care at all. Every time, she hoped something would change, but nothing ever did. Still, Ana hoped that something would be different someday. And maybe today is that day! She purred to herself. She opened her eyes to a beautiful, green forest. Flowers everywhere, birds flew overhead, and cat scent filled her nose. Ana didn’t see anyone, though. A stern voice dragged her back to the barn. “ANA!!” Of course, the tranquil, ever soothing, kind voice of Mother. Ana was so startled that she fell from her perch, catching herself at the last moment. She stretched and trotted towards the ladder, hopping over the now waking bodies of queens and young cats. When she had reached the old, rickety thing, she crouched and jumped without a second thought. She landed in a soft pile of thick, yellow hay as her mother stomped towards her. “You’re late for breakfast,” she growled, not caring that she had woken up the whole barn. “Go hunt your food in the field.”Ana stared at Mother with pure terror. “But--its farm-eaters' day! I can’t go out alone!” Mother rolled her eyes and went to sit next to Basil. “Deal with it,” she called. Ana’s shoulders slumped as she turned to the barn door. She crept along the shadows, near the walls, hoping to spot a mouse, or a rabbit, even. She was halfway around the back, when she smelled a scent. *Oh, Creator, help me.* It was almost certainly Bird, a family-friend from down the thunderpath. He also made it obvious that he had a huge crush on Ana. Ana backed away from the direction Bird was approaching.Nearly too late did she disappear around the corner, into the fields of wheat beyond. She scampered down the path until she was sure she was alone in the silence. As she wove between the tall stalks of corn and wheat, she made sure to step lightly and quietly, so she wouldn’t give away her position, not just to Bird, but to any prey that might have been close by. *Surely not every piece of prey is gone?* She thought to herself, grumbling internally. As she thought this, curiously, a rather obese rabbit hopped out into a small patch of grass. Ana crouched and stalked forwards, towards the rabbit. *Step. Step. Step. POUNCE!* She leaped from her hiding spot and was on top of the rabbit before it could make a squeak. She bit the rabbit in the neck before it could wrestle out of her claws, picked it up by the scruff, and carried it off to the river by the end of the field. When she could see the flowing stream, she sprinted to wash the blood from the rabbit with some wet moss. She dragged the moss across the fat body and sat down to eat. Ana couldn’t remember the last time she had eaten anything but a scrawny shrew or mouse; she wasn’t a very good hunter, and despite the training she had received from her father’s brother (Mittens), she could still improve a bit. Just looking at the messy bite made her feel disgusted in herself, compared to Mittens’ perfect catches. [Please go to project and press left/right arrow]
