What we already know. We all know that scratch switched from human users to ai. People have "boycotted" although it really didn't do anything. Making projects about "no aiii !! " and still using scratch really did nothing. how are you gonna be so against ai but go ahead and support it by TRAINING the ai by still being on this app. Plus the boycott only lasted... 1-2 weeks? And all scratch got was some hate projects. Now what is helping is making projects on how to save the animals and stop using ai and other forms to help people with it. Ch 2. Things coming to light. Scratch has sent multiple emails to me and other scratchers about how they need... "money." It feels a bit pushed on.. how me and others got sent a "where your money goes!" email multiple times, and them even creating discount emails without stating what the discount is. But i feel they are lying on certain things. A quote i can provide is "A human team that reviews content around the clock so your child's creative space stays safe, kind, and welcoming." So basically a human moderation team right..? But dont they use AI to moderate...? According to their form posts..? Another quote to prove they are using our money for AI is "Building Scratch 4.0 and the tools that will help the next generation of kids create things we haven't imagined yet." If you didn't know it is claimed that Scratch 4.0 IS almost fully AI. and saying "we haven't imagined yet" doesn't really help the situation. Another piece of proof ST 4.0 is AI is "It's called Scratch 4.0, and it features something we call Creative AI — a set of tools designed to help every kid create. Not by doing the work for them, but by meeting them where they are: through conversation and inspiration." Crazy how my lovely 50$ are going to an ai.. Ch 3. The Future. Well, they probably will be going with Scratch 4.0 if our brain ai loving parents don't read the fine print and keep paying $50 a year! But what does this mean for our future? Will AI be what scratch uses to moderate us? Will the AI learn our voices and texting ways and put them into our database? Well... that's for you to answer!
