-Horns are ear tufts that can vibrate to alert other Skywings of threats, but also for territorial signaling, simple codes, and bonding. (Found in peacocks, it’s called train-rattling!) Tradeoff: Takes a lot of energy to make it loud for far away messages. -Syrinx organ together with their mouth compiles accurate mimicry. Elders are best at this as the organ is fully formed. -High aspect ratio wings: great for reducing drag, dynamic soaring, quick diving, long distance, and stability. Worse for: cluttered environments, high-speed pursuits, and quick take offs. -Though they are not the fastest fliers they have the best vision with their large eyes— 20/2 (only needs 20 feet what a human would need 2 feet to see clearly). They do not have night vision. -Extra feathers at talons are a genetic trait called ptilopody found in high altitude Skywings. -Due to their range of vocal frequencies, Skywings have developed a natural communication with birds through generations. The birds inform Skywings of food, threats, and other things and in return the Skywings protect, befriend, and feed them. -Much like crows, Skywings are advanced more quickly in social constructs and puzzles. Elders are especially wise and give the best advice you can find in the two continents. Tradeoff: They are prone to overthinking, unhappiness, and mental illness.
