Controls: z- Jump x- Attack c- Weapons cycle (FA-MAS, Fists, Box, Nikita) arrows: Move I played MGS1 about a month ago and it was the mother of all peak, so I decided to make this project! To me, this is the best project I have ever made, hands down. Metal Gear Solid has a fun story and some really cool boss characters, and just good characters in general, so basically every part of this game was a blast to make, but even more so is that I actually MADE most of the boss and character sprites here! I usually am not good at sprite work, but 8 bit games give me some leniency, and I think it turned out superb! Anyway, with that out of the way, enjoy! Weapons and what to do with 'em: Fa-Mas: Your basic Machine gun. This is the best weapon to have on hand in any given scenario, as it has a fast rate of fire and can easily cover a wide horizontal range. It is possible to turn around when shooting, but beware, as gunfire only travels straight, and will dissipate when hitting a wall, so know what the Fa-Mas can and Can't hit. It provides the second best mobility of any weapon, and is a solid choice to move with. Fists: A very short range punch is all you have here. It has a nasty secret to any enemies snake may encounter though, if you manage to punch an enemy while none have been alerted to your presence, you will INSTANTLY knock them out and get rid of them! This is your ultimate stealth weapon, as you have to sneak up behind the threat for sneak kills, but be careful, as if the enemy has been aggroed and knows you are here, your fists aren't worth the time of day since their damage output drops to the lowest of an weapons Snake has on hand (heh). Use them wisely. They provide for the best mobility of all of the weapons, so platforming is a godsend unarmed. Box: Not your best option, especially since it has no attack, but while you are inside of a box enemies will not be able to see you and aggro. Incredibly good option to have so you can scout around without worrying about an enemy seeing you, although it isn't recommended because the box has by far the worst mobility of any item in the game, and if an enemy touches you they will still aggro anyways, so be careful. Nikita: The Rocker Launcher, This is one of the strongest options you have as Snake, since you can fire strong missiles out and cause them to turn up or down at will, and even controlling when they explode! This does by far the most amount of damage to basic enemies than any other weapon, and the mobility it has means it is especially good at taking out cameras and enemies just below you, but don't rely on it. It is NOT supposed to be an option to be relied on in straight combat, and because of it's lackluster mobility options, you have to be smart when using the Nikita. BEWARE!!! Enemies CAN see the Missiles you fire, and if they do, they WILL aggro!
