Created for Earth Day 2026: Our Power, Our Planet ✳┉✳┉✳┉✳┉✳┉✳┉✳┉✳┉✳┉✳┉✳ ❇ Drag the highlighted yellow wheel in circles to pedal the bicycle. (Spin it clockwise). Watch the light turn on and the party begin! ✧.* Renewable energy is power generated from sources we cannot run out of. It is a key facet to keep our planet sustainable. As many may not realize, however, renewable energy doesn't only come from big complicated mechanisms like wind turbines and geothermal heat pumps. It can be generated from very simple "machines" such as the one featured in this showcase. In this project, a bike is set up and connected to a light bulb. The light is powered directly from the kinetic energy of the turning wheels. This was inspired from when a "Power Lights with Bikes" station was showcased at my school's Field Day a few years ago. ✳┉✳┉✳┉✳┉✳┉✳┉✳┉✳┉✳┉✳┉✳ ☞ All code and graphics by @cheekybubba5 ☞ Lights-off Background Music: Marty Gots a Plan by Kevin MacLeod ☞ Party background music and sound effects from Pixabay ☞ Created for Earth Day 2026 studio Enjoy! 「 ⋅ ⍛ ⋅ ˥ *Grunt
