Good Friday --- [-] Good Friday [-] Good Friday marks the crucifixion of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Son of God. Falsely charged for blasphemy, Good Friday is the day in which God the Father sent His one and only Son to die on the cross for our sins. The wages of sin is death. However, Jesus' death and later resurrection on Easter Sunday redeemed our lives and saved us from eternal damnation, paying our debt of sin for us. Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! ---- [-] Other [-] "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do" Luke 23:34 (KJV) This verse is a show of God's grace, with Jesus speaking of love and mercy even while being nailed to a cross to die. -- "ישוע מנצרת, מלך היהודים" "Iesus Nazarenus, Rex Iudaeorum" "Ιησούς ο Ναζωραίος, Βασιλιάς των Ιουδαίων" These Hebrew, Latin, and Greek inscriptions on the cross translate to: "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews" Placed by Pontius Pilate, these phrases were meant to mock Jesus' claims as the Messiah while also sneering at corrupt Jewish leaders, as they originally wanted the inscription to say the "claimed" king of the Jews. However, we hold these words to be true today, as we Christians believe that He is in fact the one true Messiah and the King of all things. --- [-] Credits [-] The Bible King of Kings (Live) - Hillsong Worship Yes, I did post this a day late- My bad chat-
