The Skylofts are a mysterious set of floating islands in the sky just off (and high above) the east coast of Crystal City. The few citizens of the Skylofts live in rustic, modern, and minimalistic cabins. They have no idea how they got on the islands in the first place. The Skylofts are one of the only places that the high speed transit system cannot reach, being so high up in the air. There is not much of an economy, the people are self sustaining and fish in the rivers and lakes. There are a few small markets but customers are few and far between. The markets are trade based, there is no currency. Basically, everyone fends for themselves. The climate varies, but it is usually chilly due to the altitude. Summers get warm, but it snows quite a lot in the winter. Being a village in the air just on the border of Crystal City, many continents are fighting for the control of the Skylofts. The islands were unknown to everyone except the residents, but they were recently discovered by a pilot flying a commercial flight. Currently, there is dispute between the ownership of the islands. The islands themselves have no government or ruler, yet there is no anarchy and it is mostly peaceful.
