C2A. Title: EGTS rolling stock update + new label - April 2026 edition! 110th project - Yay! These are some new updates to the EGTS fleet. They include new Siemens Charger locomotives, new "hexa power sources" Alstom-CAF-Hitachi multiple unit trains, some "new" locomotive-pulled bi-mode intercity trains which are composed of a mixture of 2000's locos and generator cars, heavily renovated Corail coaches and brand new CAF-Alstom coaches and some brand new Alstom trimode mixed-use (freight + passenger) double deck high speed trains run by both EGTS and EGFTC under a new brand name. Also, 10 units have been withdrawn from commercial service and are now run as heritage trains, but despite that, EGTS and EGFTC own a crazy amount of rolling stock! Important note: All EGTS and EGFTC trains which do have combustion engines are hybrid (They can run in 100% electric mode) and when they do need to burn fuel, they usually burn bio-fuels like Bio-CNG, B100 or HVO100, meaning they are very low-carbon. Additionnally, they always use efficient industrial grade SCR and passive particulate filter technology which have the advantage of cleaning the exhaust properly at all time and being reliable unlike the type of stuff you see on personnal cars which often have active regens which consist of injecting gas or diesel in the exhaust pipe which cleans the PF but releases NOx, PM and micro PM peaks which can be up to over 1000 times above the authorized limit for a period of about 15-20 minutes. Also, car SCR and DPF/GPF systems often have reliability issues (cough cough Stellantis).
