Chapter 11: Purah and Impa swam in the sea of ancient papers they’d been researching for Kyle, looking for any clues towards the Yiga’s plans and about what evil force was behind the transformation of Nayra’s parents. So far they’d had no luck, until now… Impa had found a news article that talked about a paper containing details relating to a deep evil secret, and an archaic ritual to unleash a dark power. Unfortunately, the only existing copy of the old text was written in ancient Hyrulian and found in the possession of Paya, Kyle's mother… (meanwhile) It was finally time for Kyle and Nayra to set off on their journey to find the ingredients for the healing elixir. The duo were just mounting their horses, with heavy packs draped over the saddles, and Nayra had started to raise a delicate hand to wave goodbye to the onlooking people when Purah came running out of her workshop, a fluttering of papers exploding from behind her due to her rapid emergence. She stumbled down the steps and arrived breathlessly in front of Kyle and Nayra, ‘You two…need…to…go to…Kakariko..Village’ she gasped. ‘Wait, why?’ Nayra questioned, brow furrowing slightly in confusion. ‘Auntie and Impa were doing some research,’ Kyle explained, ‘they were looking for any info that might explain why the yiga kidnapped you, and who they kidnapped you for..’ Nayra nodded in understanding, wisps of her golden hair slowly falling out of the bun she’d tied it up in- Kyle had to resist the urge to sweep it gently back behind her ear. ‘Why do we have to go to Kakariko though?’ he asked Purah. ‘Because,’ his aunt replied tentatively,’your mother is the one with the only copy of the text.’ ‘Oh.’ Kyle sighs,’that’s just great..’ He suddenly tugged on his horse's reins and moodily trotted away towards the gate. ‘Why did he…do that..?’ Nayra whispered. Purah sighed deeply, ‘It’s a long story- and unfortunately not mine to tell- but it is regarding Kyle and (his mother-Paya)’s relationship…I don’t know much more, sorry sweetie, you’d be better off asking him yourself, although he can be very stubborn about opening up to people.’ ‘Okay! Thanks for warning me.’ She responded. Purah gently squeezed Nayra’s knee, wished her good luck, and watched the young princess ride off into the radiant morning sunshine. that's it for now!! sorry it's so short lol chapter 10: chapter 12:
