yeeeeeeaaaaah, and this time i actually mean it fr this is the ramble series finale btw so a few months ago, i found out thanks to a few yt vids that scratch now has the privilege of using any project publicly uploaded to the site to train ai, and in case y'all aren't already able to tell, i am severely against this this also just completely goes against everything scratch stood for: creativity, humanity, passion, etc, all being thrown out the window because almost every company thinks it's innovative when in actuality it's the complete opposite: it's barbaric and dystopian this is also now gonna be my only public project on scratch now, and everything else will be unshared because i don't want my content to be abducted and then regurgitated by clankers - this just makes me extremely uncomfortable, worrisome, and beyond baffled to anyone watching and/or reading this, i encourage you to fall in similar footsteps to me, that way we can continue to support human talent and step away from this ai wasteland - we need to show these companies where human merit is truly sourced from to anyone unaware of the damages that ai can cause, i advise you to do your research so you are aware of how bad ai rlly is (not only does it violate copyright by stealing others' creative work and speech, but it also wastes lots of fossil fuels, water, electricity, etc, and requires lots of money to operate) - i assume most of you reading this already know, but to anyone that doesn't, please look into this if you can, thanks it's honestly a good thing that i put my focus back over to yt bc this just makes me heartbroken - at least yt isn't forcefully using anything to be trained on ai like scratch is yet (you're still at risk but at least the risk isn't as high as it is on scratch) this is also why i love supporting small upcoming creators and indie artists; they actually showcase their human talents exceptionally and are very anti-ai like i am; most big companies can't take a breath when it comes to clankers aight that's pretty much it, go out and support real humans artists and fight back against ai :D trademark out
this project is much more serious than what i usually put out so i decided to not add bgm this time to add to the tension for those that still wanna view my unshared scratch projects, i will be making an archive of them soon so y'all will still be able to access them i also won't be leaving or quitting scratch since a lot of the tools are still useful and most of the users here are cool and against ai like i am, i just won't be publicly uploading any projects here anymore and i will instead do so via other means (edit: nvm i'm leaving, i'll be deleting my account later this year but i'll make sure to archive everything so nothing's lost) - plus not to mention the fact that i am almost an adult now (i'm gonna be 18 in a few months) so ye, there's also that - i've also said this several times before in the past but i didn't even want to make this account to begin with, i just did it bc my parents kinda forced me to after they forced me to delete my old yt, and ever since i created my new one i've been focusing on that since that's what i actually like doing more and yt has so much more ways of expressing my creative talents than scratch despite that, scratch does have lots of useful features and tools so i'll still be using it for those, just no more public projects from me anymore, yt will be my main focus going forward i also have a much bigger audience there than i do here so there's also that also, to those that still want to make projects and hate ai like i do, i'd recommend using the offline editor and publicly uploading sb3 files to other sites instead (kinda like how the sprunki sb3 got spread around if yk what i mean), that way your projects aren't at risk of being trained by ai
