I've come to propose an idea. True, it IS hard for us to truly protest, but maybe we could try changing our profile pictures? It would be a very visible, apparent change. Other then that, we should keep posting, commenting, and joining groups to protest AI. We are strong alone, but even stronger together. Don't give up!
I will never use generative AI. Data centers are poisoning the environment and are emitting more CO2 than a private jet. These data centers are being built in cities where the majority is a marginalized group, especially Black people. They are poisoning Black neighborhoods and everyone is silent about it. Look at yourselves. Farmers have to RATION their water with corporate data centers. These billionaires don't care about us. Capitalism at its finest.
