Bouldergaze shuddered as he thought about what Mistflower had said- "There was someone- no- something here." He had tried to get her to explain what it looked like, but she wouldn't tell. He knew it was wrong. He had made a promise to her that he wouldn't see in her eyes. But this was an absolute emergency! He stared at her black pupils- a swallowing abyss as a tunnel to the soul. He saw what she wouldn't tell him. It was the cat from the dark forest. The one he fought an epic battle against. But wait- how would he go back. It seemed as if anytime he would dream about it, it would ruin something. He decided to journey to the cave of crystals. Small bioluminescent butterflies fluttered around. He wacked them with his tail and carried on. As he turned to go to the moonstone- he saw something. It's glowing eyes stared with an unsettling feeling into his soul. He followed the creature down it's path when he realized this creature was a form of the dark forest cat. It lead him to some doorway- ivy was crawling around the edges and many hanging leaves were cascading down like natural party streamers. He walked through, realizing this was a portal to the dark forest. He went in and confronted the cat. "What are you doing to our clan?" He stumbled he couldn't believe it- the cat was holding 6 kittens. They all looked like mixes of Mistflower and Bouldergaze. 'I'm just running expirements." The wicked cat meowed casually. Bouldergaze was in fury. Messing with his unborn kits wasn't a punishment- it was just mad torture. He headbutted the cat and caught all the kits. They jumped out of his hands and crossed over the dark forest border to starclan. "Did you just k!ll your own kits???" The cat taunted. Bouldergaze looked in terror as he saw his unborn kits turn into dust and vanish away. "What are you doing, Bouldergaze? Are you going to cry now? Just so you know, you won't be able to k!ll me. I'm the "founder" of the dark forest! The evil of all evils. If you k!ll me, your ded, too." Bouldergaze was in panic. He wasn't going to let Mistflower get hurt, nor his kits, nor his friends. If he had to d!e, he would do it for all the warriors. He pounced onto the first cat to ever step foot into the dark forest- determined to defeat him. He ripped the cat's tail, but it just grew back. He was fighting the cat for hours. He heard a legend a long time ago that a cat would have special abilities, and battle one of the most wicked cats alive. "Well, I guess you can't beat me. Nobody can beat EvilHeart; not even the destined cat." When Bouldergaze heard this he thought about the legend again. He was prophesied as a hero. He would save the clans. He used his mind and concentrated into the deep black pools of EvilHeart's eyes. He knew how to beat him. As Evilheart chased Bouldergaze as he ran to a cliff. At an epic end, Evilheart and Bouldergaze tackled each other and rolled off the cliff. He woke up. Evilheart was fading away. "Please." He cried. "End me- it hurts." "I can't." Bouldergaze replied. "There's no way too-" "Please! It burns!" Bouldergaze then felt a sharp pain, as if someone was was plucking everything off his body. He was vanishing. He hadn't gotten to say goodbye. He wanted to say goodbye to his family, and his friends, and of course, his beautiful mate, Mistflower. He saw her staring at him. It was like a screen blocking them. He couldn't share tongues with her, and she couldn't touch his nose. "Bouldergaze! Get out of there, quick!" Her muffled screams made him sob. "I can't." He said. "Tell my kits I love them and," he paused for a moment. "I love you, parting is such sweet sorrow." As it burned to touch the small screen of reality, he kept getting as close as he could to touching her nose. "I love you too." With the worst pain of his life, he vanished.
