Disclaimer: I wasn't in this, so everything you hear here is from an outsider's perspective, trying to organize this mess of a situation for Meow's followers to understand. Please don't be offended by anything I say here. If it is offensive, I apologize profusely and do not intend it in this way. First off: Meow and Tansy are friends. Tansy's comments may have seemed rude, blunt, or mean-spirited when you first read them, but overall Tansy doesn't use tonetags much. Her tone can be a little hard to interpret for outsiders, especially because it's Scratch. Online words can hurt those who can entertain others, because we can't see the person's expression and can't hear their tone. Also, we don't fully grasp what the person is like IRL. One person could write, "I don't like you" without tonetags to their best friend online. Another person could write this exact thing. The first person could be intending it as a joke, and the second not. But if both were to get hate, simply because of a misunderstanding? These things are avoidable. Simply put, Tansy and Meow have been jokingly bantering back-and-forth. In turn, their fans have been misinterpreting this as Tansy being cruel to Meow. One thing led to another (such as Meow's profile photo being changed to a controversial character I believe? not an effect, a cause of arguments) and people began posting "expose projects" detailing the cruelty of both Tansy and Meow, individually. The issue with this is, first off, Tansy wasn't actually being mean to Meow! If anything, Meow was probably frustrated people kept jumping in. I think the joke was all of the things that Meow was personally posting to "expose" Tansy. This stuff happens a lot between friends, but Meow I think genuinely wasn't attempting to get Tansy off of Scratch, and vice versa. Please, young kids, read the situation before you jump in. Confused but upset fans of both creators began sparking arguments. More accusations were thrown around. And in the midst of it all, people continued to flame Meow and attack Tansy. Meow's responses to the people in her comment section were confused and irritated at best. These were people popping up on her profile to offer their opinion without her even asking about it. Seriously, I don't think people flaming her for her pfp choice was necessary. If anything, saying "ew pfp" is just going to make things worse. TL;DR? Tansy and Meow are friends. Things said were jokes. Meow had a controversial PFP at one point, causing confusion and unwanted commentary in her profile. And in the midst of it all were "expose" projects attempting to slander Tansy and Meow. I don't think either of them in this situation deserved this treatment. Please leave Meow alone and stop talking to Tansy about it. Tansy's words were satire, and she didn't actually hope for Meow to leave. Also, please stop calling Meow "Ginger". She has told people repeatedly to stop and people don't. Meow is Tansy is (This was not April Fool's. The situation really did spiral out of control, to my understanding. Please do correct any misinformation.)
