Glitch's Glistening Adventure - "Friendship"

Over the coming months, Glitch and Mina continued to bond with one another. It got to the point where Glitch had to stay in Mina's bed to kill all the little bugs that would creep in through the hole in her window, and besides, Glitch barely needed any sleep to function properly. The first time he had stayed the night, Mina's stepfather had come home head to toe in dust and ash. He took one look at Glitch, nodded at him, and forced himself to shower. From then until now, Glitch had been studying his movements, his actions, and even how he spoke at certain times of the week. Glitch had also been going to school with Mina for the past six of the nine months he'd been living in Mobius City. He'd looked and acted better with the better oxygen that the city offered, even his quills regaining more of their green and grey tones. At first, Glitch hadn't liked Mobian food, and he almost wretched every time Mina tried to get him to eat a chili dog or spaghetti. This changed when Mina got annoyed with Glitch's complaining and shoved a piece of garlic bread into his mouth. Glitch shut up and looked at Mina like she'd stabbed him. Then, he began to chew. And chew. And chew. The taste wasn't as sour or as bitter as he'd thought it'd be. Now, Glitch ate almost anything that wasn't veggies. One day, Glitch and Mina were on their way to Mobius City Juvenile High (to this day, nobody knows why it's called that). Students of all shapes and sizes crowded the front doors, able to be heard from up to half a mile away. The minute Mina even stepped foot onto the first step, people cleared the way. She was rich and famous after all. Mitch was standing by the door, waiting for her. He took a single look at Glitch, who was oblivious to the situation, at least for now, and frowned. Mina met him and flicked him on the head. "Be mature, ya idiot." Mitch rolled his eyes but managed to smirk. "Oh, alright. I just hope you know I don't like that kid." "Mitchford Jackson! Be nice." Glitch's ears perked up at "Mitchford". He slowly turned towards the couple, a rare smile creeping across his muzzle. Mitch blushed and grumbled. "Wipe that smirk off your face before I plant my foot on it!' Mina eyed him. "Try it and I'll send to the hospital. Again." "Oh, fine." Glitch raised an eyebrow. "How strong are you?" The echidna girl shrugged. "You'll see at the Kid Division during the National Fight Tourney next month. If you aren't scared enough to skip out, of course." Glitch walked inside of the school before answering with, "Like I'd skip out on a fight." "After the last beating you got.." "Yeah yeah, it was on live TV. I've moved past that. It's whatever." Glitch got to his class. "Cya later then, Mina." Mina smiled. "Yeah, cya. Don't die, okay?" "Like'd that ever happen."
