Arrow keys to do the movements. Just press the arrow that matches the one going up (the one with the smiley face) and do it when it touches the identical arrow (without the smiley face). You'll get different ranks for how well you do. There is no dying in this game. Im sorry that the ranks can be weird and not right. There are still a few problems with the rank thing, so keep that in mind if you do really good, but instead get a really bad rank.
