- HEADMATES (in order of forming) - Name: Hawkkit/Hawkpaw/Hawkswoop Gender: Demiboy, He/They Orientation: Bi and polyamorous Role: Persecutor, Co-Host Age: Ages alongside Snare, 2 moons at forming Key Personality Traits: Hawk is the type of cat to bite first, ask questions later. He's loud, overconfident, and everything Snare wishes he could be. Hawk never wants to lose, and always thinks they're right all the time. Hawk is snarky, and sometimes gets in way over his head. Hawk suffers from GAD as well, but they've learned how to manage it better than Snare. Why did they form: Snare felt like he wasn't enough for what Caninecarnage expected of him and his siblings, so Hawk was formed both as Snare's first headmate and his interpretation of a "perfect" Urchinclanner. Snare wanted to prove himself, and Hawk was formed to help reach that goal Frequency of fronting: Hawk fronts whenever he can, and always jumps in to pick a fight. Since they front so much, the amnesia barrier between Hawk and Snare is much weaker than any of the other headmates Name: Snapdragon Gender: Male, He/Him Orientation: Aro/Ace mostly Role: Protector Age: 32 moons Key Personality Traits: Snapdragon is outwardly aggressive and harsh, but deep down he is deeply protective over Snare and wants him to always be safe. He'll do /anything/ to make sure Snare is protected at all times. Why did they form: After Canine's death, Snare felt alone. His fear of the world made him want someone, anyone, to protect him. During the fight with Clubkit, Snare's helplessness took over and in that moment he thought about Snapdragonstar, the old leader and his namesake. And so, Snapdragon was created. Frequency of fronting: Whenever Snare feels threatened or scared, such as getting in a physical fight, Snapdragon will take over. Snapdragon doesn't care too much about amnesia barriers, he just wants Snare to feel safe Headmates Name: Raptor Gender: Genderfae, fae/faers Orientation: Pan and polyamorous Role: Syskid + Mood Booster Age: no particular age, somewhere around 2 or 3 moons younger than Snare Key Personality Traits: Whimsy and happy all the time, always there to smile and laugh. Faer just a silly cat with the mental capacity and smarts of a Cheeto puff Why did they form: Frequency of fronting: - HOW THEY'RE TYPED - snare - all lowercase, always refers to cats by names and speaks quietly raptor - same as snare, just a bit happier and with more whimsy snapdragon - normal capitalization, refers to cats by their prefixes only and speaks in a more mature tone hawk - normal capitalization with lots of emphasis, gives every cat nicknames and speaks loudly
- RESEARCH - (wip) What is DID? Dissociative Identity Disorder is a mental condition often caused by severe childhood trauma. DID forms altering personalities (or headmates as used modernly) that can control behavior. DID can also cause a strong amnesia barrier between the alters, so their memories are only theirs. As it says in the name, DID is a disassociative disorder. Symptoms: Different Identities - The existence of 2 or more different personalities with different memories, voices, traits, skills, and mannerisms Memory Gaps - Unexplained gaps in memory including loss of daily events, personal information, and past trauma from other headmates Disconnection - People with DID might experience depersonalization and derealization Intrusions - Sudden shifts of identity and "hearing voices" in the head Functional Impairment - DID can cause distress and dysfunction in social, occupational, and daily lives Causes of DID: Childhood Trauma - The most common cause of DID, the system can be formed as early as 9 years old
