(I do NOT support Cole The Geek or his actions at ALL. I just really liked the show and loved its characters. Fireball and Pound are lowk special to me, I love them sm... :,D) Soo here's a lil fanfic I was working on! It's a C2BC AU where Fireball and Pound start going on night walks! Where they would get closer and idk kiss lol I liked the idea, tho I wasn't sure how to execute it, I still managed to write the beginning for it! But... I quickly lost motivation to finish it once the creator of C2BC got exposed. Instead of letting it rot in my notes app I wanted to share it! (Edit: I finished it!! :33) For context: C2BC is an object show where they compete for one million dollars! This fanfic takes place in season 2! In season 2 they stay at a hotel >:3 Raaah I'm still obsessed with this guys :,3 If you wanna check out C2BC, I recommend watching re-uploads of the episodes as to not support the creator. Chapter 2: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1309009361 Chapter 1: Fireball goes on walk :D Pound also goes on walk :0 (It was around 8PM, takes place in episode 1 of C2BC!) The sounds of gentle fire crackles fills the air, a soft glow illuminates the pitch black room as a firey orb suffers in bed, constantly moving around and unable to get comfortable. There was just too much on his mind right now, he was always an night owl but this is getting really frickin annoying. Especially since his thoughts all consists of a certain coin... Okay, this sucks! Maybe a walk can clear my stupid head... The bed creaks as he sits up, making his way to his door, unlocking it before closing it behind him with a soft click. Fireball quietly moves through the hall, and soon he ends up outside. He walks out slowly on the sidewalk, before plopping down on a nearby bench under a street lamp, leaning against it as his eyes follow the passing cars. It's a quiet night, very little going on. The cold breeze flowed past him and gently ruffled the flames of his body, causing his form to warp and distort. He isn't bothered by the cold, the warmth of his form still very strong. He looks up at sky, and his gaze lingered on the moon, spacing off with a calm, apathetic expression... So calm that he almost doesn't register the sound of someone walking towards him, until it's way too close for comfort. Whipping around with slight panic, his eyes spot something he almost couldn't believe. Wait... Pound!? That's right, looks like someone else also decided a walk would be good tonight. Pound was walking along the sidewalk, phone in hand, as he blasted some music through his headphones. Despite his distraction, he was still on high alert- cuz walking alone at night is dangerous- and instantly caught sight of a orange light...? What's he doing here?! They both thought, staring at each other in unison. Well, until Pound moved closer, and sat down next to Fireball. His music was turned down, his eyes glanced over to him till he looked away. Fireball could already feel himself getting a warm feeling, one that's different than his typical body heat. He seriously thought he was just seeing things for a moment there until Pound was sitting right next to him, and now they're both outside on this bench...alone. “Hey, um... What are you doing up?” Pound broke him out of his thoughts with a gentle whisper, one that made his heart skip a beat. Damn it. Fireball shrugged, trying to appear normal. “Couldn't sleep... how about you?” Pound, being the observant person he is, noticed Fireball seemed quite awkward, but thought nothing of it as he was quite awkward too. He didn't expect to encounter Fireball, what are the odds? Not that he didn't want to see him, but this is pretty awkward. Sitting here at night, in silence. But it was also sorta peaceful? “Oh, I kinda like to take night walks at this time... Helps me ease my mind, y'know?” Fireball nodded along, focusing on him with almost too much intensity. Pound likes to take night walks? Does that imply he takes them regularly? Maybe he could join him sometime?... He decided not to ask, since he was struggling to say anything at all. Ugh, why do I have to be so awkward?! He just nodded, diverting his gaze so he wouldn't be caught staring. Or perhaps that just made it more suspicious. Pound hummed softly in thought, before leaning against the back of the bench. He thought about maybe talking some more, but I dunno, something made him shut up, and it seemed to have made Fireball as well. They just sat there together, in awkward but content silence. Pound was still listening to music, while Fireball kept glancing towards Pound. He couldn't stop thinking about how pretty Pound looked near him, the way the light reflected off of the coin. He's so...shiny. It wasn't their first time being alone together like this. During their time stuck on that island, they've gotten a lot closer. Too close for his comfort.
He shook the feelings off, pretending that they didn't exist. Like he always does. He couldn't think Pound was “pretty”, what was wrong with him?? Pound's just a friend to him. Well, the amount of times he had to tell himself that says otherwise. “Hey...” Fireball found himself speaking up before he could stop himself. “You take... night walks, right?” Pound perked up, happy to have Fireball break the gentle silence. He nodded, making Fireball hesitate before continuing. “Maybe... I could join you next time? We could both use some time to breath with everything going on, y'know?” Fireball asked, almost tentatively. He diverted his gaze subconsciously, bringing his attention back to the street ahead. It was silence for just a moment, only broken by the sounds of passing cars... But then, a soft smile slowly came across Pound's face, then a little chuckle escaped him... One that made Fireball's attention instantly direct towards him again. “Of course you can!” Pound replied, his voice just louder than a whisper. “I wouldn't want my best friend missing me too much.” He joked light-heartly, almost amused. I think he noticed the fire's nervousness. Everything that just came out of Pound's mouth made Fireball's flames flicker with excitement, the tease earning a weak scoff from him. “What?? You can't blame me, we BARELY get to see each other now!” He said a little too defensively, and Fireball internally winced at his tone. So much for trying to act cool, he thought with an audible grumble. But Pound wasn't too bothered by his grumbling. Placing his phone down onto the bench beside him, the coin scooted a little closer, the heat from Fireball seeming to instantly glow a little brighter. “I guess you're right about that!” He smirked lightly, “I think these night walks could be really nice! And maybe it could improve you temper.” Pound gave the other a light nudge, breaking Fireball out of his trance and making his face immediately turn into a big frown, his flames flickered sharply as he elbowed him back. “Psh, shut it!” He snapped back, but it was a snap with no bite. He wasn't upset one bit by the teasing, and Pound knew that. Another chuckle echoed out into the cold quiet air. Gosh, why was Pound laughing so much?? Fireball felt his nerves creeping up again, making him quickly avoid Pound's bright smile. I hate that smile... So much. He wished he could unsee it... then maybe his inner flames would stop twirling around like it's about to explode into sparks. Fireball's attention was almost subconsciously set back onto Pound as he heard the other stand up from the bench, standing upon him with a look that almost seemed... excited? “I'm glad you asked, Fireball! Now come on! It's getting late. You wouldn't want to be half asleep during the next challenge, right?” Fireball wouldn't get a chance to protest before Pound already turned his back, making the flame immediately get up from the bench with a soft creak, already at Pound's side. He totally didn't want to stay and continue sitting out here with Pound in awkward silence... totaallyy... He had to keep his eyes off of Pound as he walked, his eyes setting on the passing cars. “Yeah, yeah... Like you weren't asleep the whole bus ride here.” “Well, at least I get sleep! Who was the one who I kept catching up at midnight?” “Says the one taking night walks-” “I think we both stay up way too late.” The two bickered as they made their way back to the hotel. Fireball could feel himself getting less nervous as they chatted, like usual, his demeanor shifting into something more confident and carefree. But there was still something... off underneath. The breeze suddenly felt less cold, and the night felt less empty, the quiet less deafening. The sounds of traffic fading into the scenery, as their worries momentarily faded. It was as if something was missing during their walks alone, something that made everything feel more... peaceful. Fireball always refused Pound whenever he asked if he could company him at this time. The flame valued his time alone, away from everyone he couldn't tolerate... But even he couldn't help but admit, being with someone felt so much better than being alone... the one someone he didn't mind invade his personal bubble. The soft pitter patters of their paws came to a stop as they arrived at the hotel doors, smiles on their faces as they quietly entered the warmth of the building. Both of them were thinking the same thing. Night walks. Together. ...What could happen?
