Hearken's Autism research: - I will be using my own Autism experience as a reference as well as the research i've done :3 - Level 1 (Asperger's), specifics will be left up to the rper Sensitivity/Sensory: Autistic people can often be very sensitive to certain things pertaining to the senses. Being overwhelmed by a sense they are sensitive to can overstimulate and even cause meltdowns or panic. For example, if an Autistic person has sensitive hearing then loud sounds or certain sounds may cause distress. It is common to have multiple sensitivities, and it's also possible to be positively sensitive. For example, a person may like to listen to loud music but hates traffic sounds, or likes soft clothes but not a certain material. Communication/Socialization: Most Autistic people struggle greatly with social factors, and it is a major sign of the disability. People with Level 1 Autism usually struggle most with this, but generally do not have many learning difficulties. They may have trouble reading body language, facial expressions, tone, or might not see the purpose in small talk, gift-giving, or other social traditions. Stimming: Stimming is a common way for Autistic people to express emotions or regulate stimulation. Examples of stimming could be hand flapping, spinning, tapping, picking at skin, and many others! Unusual Body Language: People with Autism sometimes can have unusual body language like raptor arms, sitting certain ways, and ofc stims. Routines: Autistic people often thrive in routines and can get overstimulated very easily if a routine is broken. For example, if a cat usually walks around camp every morning but she's called on a hunting patrol one morning instead. This can also apply if someone agreed to do something and didn't do it. Masking: Autistic people often try to make themselves seem normal in an attempt to blend in with the rest of society. This can be very exhausting and taxing on the Autistic person as they are suppressing the things they think people find weird. Leveret's Bobtail research: A bobtail is a natural mutation that occurs in certain cat breeds. It generally does not impact the cat's way of life, but it's possible for these cats to be more prone to arthritis at the tailbone and digestive/urinary system infections. Since a bobtail also makes the spine shorter this can cause problems like the above mentioned arthritis, but generally does not cause balance issues. Source: Litter-Robot
